In 1988 you were too green…

In 1988 you were too green to be pessimistic.   Had you watched the '87 team, and all four turnovers against ND; turnovers against OSU; and the seven interceptions thrown against MSU (maybe it was six ints + 1 fumble), you might have been very pessimistic about the QB situation coming into the '88 and '89 campaigns.   Instead, Bo went full wishbone/ramrod with Bunch, Hoard, Tony Boles, and Tracy Williams for the next two years.   The '88 and '89 teams were great UM teams with 'trouble with the snap'/first down JT Barrett' type of losses to teams ranked 1 or 2 as the only losses.   I can foresee something similar with this team.

Off the top of my head -…

Off the top of my head - Ohio State 2014; Ohio State 2012;  Auburn '03; Tennessee 98; Nebraska '95; Notre Dame '89; Oklahoma '88; Nebraska '83; Auburn '83; Oklahoma '78.  Admittedly not been many in the past two decades but there also isn't any recent history of any team doing what Michigan did 2021 - 2023.   I also do not see how an Orji, Mullins, and Edwards backfield would look any worse than Bama's 2023 offense.

I think this is my lifetime…

I think this is my lifetime of NFL-drafted Michigan fullbacks -  Jarod Bunch - first round; Ed Shuttlesworth - second round; Rob Lytle - second round; Leroy Hoard - second round; Stanley Edwards - third round; Bob Perryman - third round; Chris Floyd - third round; BJ Askew - third round;  Russell Davis - fourth round; Bench Mason - fifth round; Gerald White - undrafted.

Did somebody say closing…

Did somebody say closing time?  Met my wife almost exactly 31 years ago at 2:30 a.m. at the Chatterbox.   Although I was completely beer-goggled at the time, turns out she was and still is a 9. I can adapt to the NIL world.   Finally, I can give back to my university in a meaningful way!   Sherone, I am on my way buddy! The calvary is coming! Jagerbombs for everyone! Tonight we ride!!!! Now let's go get that DC!

I just watched both videos…

I just watched both videos for the first time (I should be at work).  Hearing the comments he makes about JJ and the respect shown to him by our rival - I just sat hear and started crying.  That OSU fan understands how JJ and our coaches sacrificed stats and maybe even a heisman to win games and stick with a working running game, which he clearly criticizes Day/Stroud for not doing.  I love JJ.  What a blessing we had for these past three years including 2021). Man we are going to miss him   If Uber  were alive JJ would be the second coming of "The Guts and Glue of the Maize & Blue"

In reality, the 24 wins over Ohio State should be ranked 1-24 on the list of most important wins in program history since 1969. The Game, The Game, The Game!!!!   Everything else is just a fun conversation.
