I assume Acker was tasked to…

I assume Acker was tasked to put it a statement that says Michigan is 100% committed to dominatant NIL. Every previous Michigan statement has been interpreted to be wishy washy and covering for relative failure.

How informed do you want to…

How informed do you want to be?

You can insist every successful recruiting team is cheating and offering big guarantees to recruits and Michigan is doing things legally and focusing on helping student-athletes after they perform...

Or

Michigan was very slow out of the gate establishing an effective 3-way marketplace between boosters, student-athletes and corporations/charities.

Aidan is out of reach but…

Aidan is out of reach but Hassan Haskins could have made more money coming back vs going 4th round in the NFL.  4 year contact is not apples to apples with 1 year of NIL but this could be a difference maker for many college stars that aren't going to be first rounders.

What I've been told from…

What I've been told from some in the know is that they were going to raise a lot more funds. But you still won't be able to weaponize a big bank account without the leadership and strategy of creating an efficient 3-sided marketplace of boosters, student-athletes, and corporations/charities that can cookie-cutter brand-enhancing, NIL income generating opportunities.  That part of relative execution versus other schools is where Michigan seems to be lagging at the moment, not whether boosters are ready to contribute.

There will be a handful of…

There will be a handful of elite super teams, but individuals can still go get paid at other places directly out of HS or by transferring.  It'll be no different from any other no hard cap salary cap league where some teams have more money than others, like NBA, MLB, NCAA FB.  The last being illegal NIL transitioning to legal NIL.

Money will create movement opportunities for individuals but power teams will be relatively stable, losing free agents at times but having so much depth it won't hurt them.  Since NCAA FB has no salary cap and no punitive long term contracts, the class divide between the haves and have nots should be permanent, stable and predictable.

Michigan should be the dominant winner in this NIL-era if it just pulls its head out of its own ....

Michigan community burying their collective heads in the sand and falling further behind in the legal NIL-era.

Call from nowhere ended up…

Call from nowhere ended up being the most beautiful and wonderful woman in the world.  It turned out to be set up by a mutual friend where we were both not aware of her ploy to bring us together.

The gamified way to create it is to complain about dating apps with your friends and then have your circle of friends compete to find dates for each other.

I agree 100% with this…

I agree 100% with this approach - both in the goal and likely impact on the market - and am working hard to bring it to fruition very shortly.  This complements existing star player NIL efforts and makes those efforts even more impactful.

The framework for doing so in a legitimate, repeatable and scalable way requires a new approach. Every booster or NIL collective that has done this - at much smaller scale - is under NCAA microscope because it is a sham transaction with no underlying value for service.

I am new to MGoBlog, but…

I am new to MGoBlog, but have been working on the fundamental problem and opportunity for Michigan NIL.  We announced a program a few months ago with members of the football team to address this fundamental problem... but have been delayed by the change in the fiat payment ecosystem.

https://www.freep.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/wolverin…

We are going live shortly.

Michigan is lagging in the first year of the NIL-era.  However, Michigan has the dominant football community and will be the clear winner in the NIL-era if done right.  Our program has a mission to empower Michigan football to win a national championship... seriously.  Michigan will win the NIL-era.

I don't want to hijack this thread or this community with something that sounds like a biased commercial but I am happy to answer questions on this thread or a new thread if there is interest in learning how to make this happen.
