In that 86 game the call came down from coach hanlon to start widening the splits between the offensive linemen. Bo told them to begin 'imperceptibly' widening them out. By the 4th quarter they were huge gaps and osu never adjusted. Their linebackers were spread thin and there were natural running lanes created.
Monster to wake up, mow the lawn, my son and I will then go buy Buffalo meat to grill up and feast on Buffalo burgers during the game - just like Harbaugh and Michigan will feast on Buffalo.
Don't forget that the coaching staff has still probably not shown no more than half of what they have in eventual gamelans. And it is not uncommon for coaches to purposely put players and the team in difficult situations to 'force' them to learn to overcome adversity and 'reset' the player's expectations. Maybe create some humbleness.
Bo had a separate locker room for freshmen for their first year up to spring ball. Jim would have experienced that himself and he talks about the benefits the way Bo did.
