I would say that despite OSU being a bit better, recently MSU has been the rival beating our ass every year. We've seemed to play OSU well and stay close if not compete, but MSU has dominated Michigan of late. More so than OSU.
Michigan has a mascot. They just don't have a dude on the sideline dressed like he's at a 7 year olds birthday party. I like the use on shirts but I'm not gonna go so far saying we need or should have a mascot on the sideline.
I think those are the pads that are embossed with an m not the pants. But I doubt they're wearing that, and plus the pad type are a preference since they're under the pants...
Man, I remember back then how important the screen was in the michigan play book. I always referred to it as their "bread and butter play." I fell in love with the screen and can't recount how many big plays they got off these. Some thing about seeing the a-train on the side of the field with a convoy of blockers really got me going. It was a major momentum play. I know every team utilizes the screen, but the way they perfected it was beautiful to see. Also, run blocking. Wow!
I wasn't particularly saying that I would be booing, but to think that fan's wouldn't voice their displeasure by booing is stupid. It happens. If a team is underperforming, that is how some fans voice their displeasure. Of course, last year was the first time I've ever heard the home crowd boo at a Michigan team and it was quite sad. Although the anger might not have been pointed at the players I'd see how that would be demorilizing. What I was trying to point out was just because a fan boos their teams it doesn't mean they're not a fan, despite how wrong they may be for doing it. Proffesional teams get booed by their fans all the time.
IMO I think he's using this as motivation. That at no point should the team perform at a level that would deserve booing. And to say that "real fans don't boo" is asinine to me.
I remember a time when I was deeply upset when Michigan lost. Now, I've grown accustomed to it so nothing really "scares" me since I've already seen the worst, and have had the feeling that they could lose any game. That being said, Harbaugh stuff will happen and Michigan will win.
