I think he's right to some extent. We used to recruit kids from Cass Tech, MLK, etc in the state of Michigan. Look at the top 25 in the state... we have 2 commits... 1 from Grand Rapids, 1 from Paw Paw... getting our asses handed to us in the inner city like Flint (my home town) and Detroit... we do need some hungry kids who have been scrapping to make it.

It's not coincidence that he brought on a new OC in year 5. He can write this year off to losing his entire defense to the NFL and a new offense. That gets him a year 6 and most likely a year 7 alone.
Now... should they renew his contract in 2 years? ...Not unless he wins 2 Big Ten titles IMO. If he continues to go down to Notre Dame, Michigan State, and Ohio State the fan base should absolutely REVOLT if his contract is renewed.
Who do you even bring in to right the ship? I think Meyer will be at USC next year if he ends up coaching anywhere, so he's out... Tom Herman would be awesome... but is his desire to stick it to Ohio stronger than turning around his alma mater? who are the other options? Give me a REALISTIC replacement option and I'll consider getting on the fire Harbaugh bandwagon... dont really like the guy

Chuck Martin - Midwest guy, won a couple National Titles with GVSU, significant time as an OC and DC under Brian Kelly. And he'd be coming from the same College program as Bo and Woody (Miami OH)
Tyrone Wheatley - GREAT recruiter. Michigan legend, give him a shot
Mike Hart - the press conferences will be EPIC.
Scot Loeffler - he was GOAT's QB coach... played at Michigan so he gets it.
Let's go Ty Wheatley as HC with Loeffler as OC and Hart as RB coach... and Woodson as the DC to boot.

For all the frustrations Carr gave me in bowl games and against Ohio... he was a class act as a coach, he was consistent, and his players would run through walls for him. We haven't had a good coach since.
With the way Michigan have started the season, I think they are ranked 7 or 8 spots too high. I don't think they are better than Pedophile U, Wisconsin or Iowa in the B1G.
