Given historical UM v MSU ATS in recent years, might make more sense to bet the over if it's in the 55-65 range. We are going to score, probably alot, but it would be very lame if a 42-21 or 45-24 score came in and beat the spread because Mel decided to continue chucking it in the face of certain loss, as he did against Washington.
After years of lurking (username) I spent the $5 to create an account and respond to this post with total agreement, because you perfectly summarized my experience and reaction. Stunned silence, halting disbelief when we ended their next drive, sort of maniacal, still-disbelieving laughter when we (rather easily!) ran out the clock.
I watched the All TD on repeat maybe 20x the next day and would be embarrassed to admit in the company on non-fans how emotional I was on each rewatch. The playcall by Sean McDonough was note-perfect, too.
After that win, where there was once misgiving, it was now enthusiasm for the next game, next series, next play….“playing downhill”, “house money”, all that.
