On SVP post game Fowler was asked is there an asterisk on this for M. He said no. No asterisk. But then went on  bit about subtext blah blah blah. Guessing someone got in his ear after he said no. It was weird.

2007. Son was born at Mott’s in Jan of 07. He spent majority of year in ICUs there. Michigan football had been a mostly good escape from reality to that point in my life.  Being on a terrifying ride with him and needing to be “with it” every second of the day, this site be my means of escape. Unfortunately my BPONE is far reaching and deep. I’ll probably turn off phone and go workout until the game is over before I check here for results.

Great news!  Great org. And great idea. Spent the holidays in Mott with my not quite 1 yr old (came off the vent Christmas morning 2007 - but that’s another story) and his 20 mo old sister (who was worried Santa wouldn’t find her at Med Inn). Child Life helped our whole family. Thanks for sharing.

Very few if any pay that or close to that. Tell her to check all the schools of interest out and see what it will cost for her.  Not many important things in life that you pay sticker for.

Moving daughter into Alma…

Moving daughter into Alma tomorrow, for her freshman year. Son is still in HS and started today. Would be more worried about her move if I hadn’t gone there, met my wife there, and if she wasn’t the 8th family member to attend. But talk to us in a couple of days, going to be oddly quiet around the house.

Glad you got into Mott…

Glad you got into Mott. Sorry you and your family is having to deal with this. Many of us have “been there”, but no one will truly be able to go through what you’re experiencing.  Everyone has their own path and experiences. Our prayers with the care team, you, you wife and your child. My only advice - try to find something to look forward to everyday. A new game from Child Life, the athletes visiting on Thursday nights, 2 mins in the courtyard, your kid getting a bath for the first time in weeks. Whatever it is. There are a million difficult things going on each day.

and you’re not joking about rounds. Truly incredible.

Take care of family.

Thanks - Everyday is a new adventure - Never know what tomorrow holds!  He just wrapped up baseball and plays hockey multiple times a week (he would everyday if there was available ice).  Anytime we get wrapped up on the day to day bs we reground ourselves on where he's been.

Long time lurker. As my name…

Long time lurker. As my name indicates my son was born and has spent quite a bit of time at CS Mott. I grew up a UofM football / basketball fan. It wasn’t until Coach Bakich visited my son in his room that we started to pay attention to the baseball team. Coach not only had my son sign his shirt in Sharpie, he later sent him a ball signed by the team, some shirts and other swag. Coach was incredibly personable and made a big impact on my son.

My kid spent much of his first grade year in the hospital, the many athletes that visit the floors and “watching” that year's spring football game from the corner windows of his floor (could just see the glow of the lights of the big house in 2014) are reasons why we support every team that wears the block M.

Am i doing it right? Bang bang bang
