 A Californian wolverine…

A Californian wolverine here.  It's not that Californians aren't into sports.  They just aren't that into college football....like the midwest and south.  The only true fans of college football is the USC fans.  Other than that, peeps here just follow their pro teams hardcore.

I'm a niner fan living in the Bay Area.  This guy is the class of all classes.  Did so much voluntary works around the community and most of them anonymously or without announcing himself.  One time a teen went missing.  Volunteers were formed to search the woods nearby.  He showed up to that and just was one of the volunteers.  Was not on news for any of those - only personal social media of random peeps covered those.

Recruiting and its offense…

Recruiting and its offense is pretty much elite every year.

Who cares about spacing?  If you are a knockdown shooter, you have to hit the shots.  His mechanic doesn't look smooth like a pure shooter either.

What Matthews does is not a step back.  He does fade away jumpers.  They are different.  Iggy has never done one either.

No one does on this team…

No one does on this team except Poole.  It is a fine move as long as he makes them with consistency.  It is not a good shot at the clip he's been for the last couple games.

One-foul autobench makes no sense.  The starters need to get in rhythm.  It assumes you are going to foul again.  It's really stupid.

Really, the student body of…

Really, the student body of MSU should rise up and get rid of this guy.  They can if they care.

I'm with him.  Should put a…

I'm with him.  Should put a clause mandating that you should be the champion of the league to make the playoff.

Man, that basketball…

Man, that basketball scrimmage... lots of crappy basketball

Zordich

I didn't think his comments were appropirate or constructive either.

Funny, I'm on the same trip!

Hey Mr. Mxxx Bxxxxxx!

Life Long Warriors Fan

I would pick the Bulls.  As a life long Warriors fan and residing in the Bay Area currently, I've been watching every minute of the Warriors action and they are absolutely amazing.  It is something new and different...something kinda hard to grasp at the moment.  As a hardcore basketball fan and player, it is difficult for me to cheer on jacking up 3's instead of taking layups on fast break and things of that nature that is now the norm for the warriors.  Somehow, they make it work.  This hasn't been done before with much success but they make it work because Curry is just so amazing.

The reasons for my picking of Bulls:

1. I'm in my 40's and grew up watching that era's Bulls and they were tough.

2. This warriors, as amazing as they are, seems "soft" and am not sure how they would stack up with teams with major skills and toughness.  Draymond is the only tough son of a bitch.  You take him out and this team will not be great, merely good.

3. Jordan will get all the calls down the stretch and Curry gets no calls/helps from the refs for some reason.

4. Jordon's D on Curry... I would guess that would limit Curry to a degree.

Having said that, not sure how much the rest of the country gets to watch the warriors but watch it when you can.  They are amazing.  Well, Curry is amazing - everything else is replaceable.  The team as a whole is pretty amazing as well.

Did he ever look that good?

To me, GRIII never looked like an elite ball player.  Never last year, never this year.  Weren't we all surprised at the projection of first round pick last year because he really didn't prove all that.  It was purely based on his athleticism.  His shot is mediocre and he can't create his own shots... at least yet.  Everyone wants him to get more aggressive on offense but I hate that!  Whenever he does he is a mess!  At least for this year, he needs to remain a support role.

Hopefully next year and beyond (if he stays), he can develop more of skills to get to elite level.  I don't see it happening this year.

Illinois Graduates

I know a few Illinois graduates.  They don't give a damn about any of their sports.  Mostly just resort to pro sports like da bulls and da bears.

Dallas Wedding

Haha, you must be a friend of Wongtran.  I'll see you there?  We are going to North Main BBQ per groom's recommendation.

Good Stuff

From the subject line, I wasn't interested, but am glad I read.  Learned lots about the academy football.  Thanks.

It also shows

When that big of a class disintegrates like that, it shows that something is wrong in the locker room such as no trust between the players and coaching staff, team cohesiveness, accountability, etc.

Stanford

Calling time outs to slow down a team is

totally overrated.

Stanford

Ummm... I don't think you've been to Stanford campus.  I love everything about UM but Stanford campus can't be beat - FAR superior to ours.  Stanford academics is also better than ours.  If you are a serious football player though I don't know why you would choose stanford right now though.  Harbaugh made that program and it isn't going to stay on high.

Fickell is totally Judge Alex

I has him!

NVM, I just planking.  Hahaha!

How About Linebackers?

I feel like the last three years we had the worst LB performances in Mich history.  This year, not great yet but much improved.

Negative Runs

I don't know about getting knocked over easily... Shaw is my favorite RB for the past 2~3 years.  His demise in terms of playing time comes from his negative runs.  He tries too hard to make something out of nothing and goes sideways and loses yards.  He's done this 2~3 time every year for the past 3 years and used to piss off RR.  Shaw did this negative run against ND, Hoke looked visibly upset, and there goes his playing time...

Herron on this play

Herron is doing the exact same as Beyer on the other side of this play...

Ward was also

a bit weird dude... I saw him play pool at the student union ALONE many times.  Also, Mich was way behind 2 schools (can't remember which) when he was announcing his school choice.  Then out of nowhere, he pulled out a Mich hat and started crying... saying the god told him the night before the announcement date to go to Michigan.

I actually like the uniform of Maryland ...

Raven's 4th Q

The Raven's D gave up on average 7~8 points by the 4th Q came along according to this data.  So it makes sense that they gave up more points in 4Q since the opposing team will be going all out taking risks to score more points to win.
