This is wishful thinking…

This is wishful thinking. There is a picture of Jim listening to Conor on the sideline during a game. Show that to a jury and try to sell he didn't have anything to do with it.

Not saying he did but people believe what they see. That picture is damning.  Why would a head coach take time in the middle of a game to talk to a low level staffer?

Really?  Who do you think is…

Really?  Who do you think is leading the charge to get Michigan's wins this year vacated?  SEC, FSU, Washington and Oregon.  Why?  Playoff spot!

Lets say UGA loses to Bama.  Both are 12-1.  Lets say OSU wins a tight one. Michigan is 11-1.  FSU 13-0. Washington and Oregon split both are 12-1.  But if Michigan has too forfeit any games it removes them. if Michigan beats OSU and has too forfeit some games it removes both.

Bama will be 11-1 before their conference title game. UGA will be 12-0.  FSU will be 12-0.  Only 4 spots.

In theory any team that…

In theory any team that steals signs has the ability to hurt a player. No worry about misdirection or play action. You can just haul it to where the player will be.  Arriving with more speed and force.

You would think there would be more interceptions as well.  if you know a 10 yard out is coming you should be able to jump it.

Some problems with that…

Some problems with that information. First, sharing information is not against the rules. So, remove that idea.  Second, you are allowed to use signs from a previous year. So, remove that idea. Third, the wall around practice could also be  looked at as the Stallon effect.  He was spying so others must be as well so let's hide what we are doing.

There is nothing in this post but conjecture.  Also, the other conferences, including the ACC, are pushing for a huge and swift penalty.  Why?  Playoff spots and playoff money. Hearing a lot from fans of other teams wanting this season forfeited. UGA, Texas, FSU, Washington and Oregon all want Michigan banned. So, let's not kid ourselves and think anyone else will support. They won't!

What does everyone think of…

What does everyone think of Bacon naming Jim Stapleton as the source of everything coming out about the program?

if we look at the big picture I have always thought it was in house. Look at original allegations - how would any other coach know an analyst was on the practice field 1 day?  During covid how would any other coach know Jim's exact whereabouts?

Stapleton makes a lot of sense. He reportedly hates Jim.  He reported was the reason the Vikings passed on him. Now he reportedly is on the NCAA infractions committee. He has contacts at the university. Remember it was the NCAA that notified all the schools about this scandal.

Lets compare that to the rumor it was OSU.  Day would have to have a spy in the stadium for every practice to see the analyst 1 day on the field.  He would have to have a tracker on Jim to know where he was the entire dead period for Covid. He would have had to known about Stallon to sick his retired DEA agent brother on him. Then said brother had too talk a PI Agency he does not own or work for into breaking privacy laws.  Then they have to secretly get that information to the infractions committee.  Where Stapleton just happens to be.

I know the rivalry is all that but let's be honest. Stapleton makes a lot more sense if everything Bacon says is true.

I had heard it was Matt…

I had heard it was Matt Rhule who blew the whistle. The story I heard was some of the NFL players were talking about it when he was there.  Then UM stomped Nebraska.  So, he was pissed.

But I also heard a story it was someone from AA that turned them in. The same person who turned Jim in for his recruiting during covid and for the analyst being on the practice field.

So who knows?

I had told everyone if I was…

I had told everyone if I was his attorney I would have had him apply for immediate eligibility and had him go out for baseball at OSU this spring.  He was an MLB prospect in high school.  The offending player was a baseball player at UGA and has friends on the team.  I would have commented to the NCAA that my client does not feel he can play with the players that are this guys friends.

Then have him show up for baseball practice at OSU a few days - throw a baseball around a bit.  If he decides he wants to play great, if he decides his class load is too large to play and has to quit that is great also.

The NCAA could not have stopped him from being eligible immediately.  UGA did not fight it.  The only thing that would have happened is the NCAA would have been crucified in the media and social media.

As to his sister - she is playing softball.  She is not on the baseball team with the offending players friends.

Fields is still a freshman. …

Fields is still a freshman.  He was a MLB prospect coming out of high school.

If you really thought the NCAA was going to rule against him then you REALLY do not pay attention to what is going on in the world.  The NCAA had no choice but to allow him to transfer and be eligible right away.

Think about if they did not clear him.  The media would destroy them.  The SJW's would march and protest.  They would be called all the vile names in the book.  The I am offended crowd would say the NCAA were being slave masters.  Not only are players not paid but now the NCAA is forcing an African American player into staying where he was disrespected and called an N, if he wants to play this year.  It would have been UGLY!

You can complain all you want but it was going to happen.  Even UGA told the NCAA they wanted it to happen.  UGA did not want to appear in the press as holding him back in any way either.

So let's really look at the…

So let's really look at the cases -

SP - the coaches lied to me.  Yes, it is true that my brother is one of the coaches but they still lied to me.  Yes, it is true it is odd that a lifelong UM fan who grew up in Toledo Ohio and was a highly recruited QB ended up at an obscure program like Ole Miss but I had no idea that any rule breaking was going on.

JF- a MLB prospect coming out of high school gets called a N by a baseball player at UGA.  JF feels he cannot play on the baseball team as this other players friends are still on the team.  The offending player is not kicked out of UGA.

Think about it like this -…

Think about it like this - in todays world where everyone gets offended by everything.  Would the NCAA announce in February, which is African American History month, that it was going to force an African American player to stay where he was verbally assaulted by a white athlete of the same university?  There is no way in the world they wanted to touch this issue.

If they would have said no - the media would have had a field day, no pun intended.  Not only are the players not paid but now the NCAA is telling an African American player that he has to stay and take the abuse if he wants to play this year.  There would be protests.  There would be marches.  There would be players leaving college and going to one of the new pro leagues.

The NCAA had no choice!

You do understand the reason…

You do understand the reason it took Shea so long, correct?

UM was slow in getting the request in.  Ole Miss fought the request.

OSU turned the request in immediately and UGA did not fight the request.

No bag men needed.

OSU and Fields attorney followed the game plan UM did the year before.  There was no guessing.  No stumbling around in the dark.  UM had provided the road map to get this done.  So they had the paperwork ready to go.  UGA not fighting it also made it faster.

You are exactly right!  It…

You are exactly right!  It cracks me up how many people do not see this!  The media and the SJW's would have devoured the NCAA and they know it.

Shea's story has its own…

Shea's story has its own weak points.  It was all based on the coaches lied to me.  His brother was one of the coaches.  Also, do you really believe the best QB in his class from Toledo Ohio ends up going to Ole Miss without some sort of back room deals going on?

As to the timelines - UM took months to get the required paperwork filed.  Ole Miss fought the transfer.  Both of those things slowed the process down tremendously.  OSU filed right away.  With Haskins leaving for the pros they needed to know ASAP.  UGA did not fight the transfer request.  Thus it was a very speedy process.

In this same idea I would expect Martell to be declared eligibly soon at Miami.  OSU is not going to fight the transfer at all.  Word is he is a locker room cancer.  If Miami gets the paperwork in he should be cleared by the end of the month.

A lot of issues here - first…

A lot of issues here - first the student was a baseball player.  Fields is a MLB prospect and was going to play baseball.  Fields felt he could not play baseball on the same team as the player who called him a N or that players friends.

Second, the player was not kicked out of school.  His scholarship to play baseball was taken away but he was allowed to remain enrolled.  The player eventually left to play baseball elsewhere.  But he left on his own and his friends are still on the team.

Third - the alleged racism rumor McMurphy started has been proven to be a lie.  It was said by an ex-players father.  The player and his mother came out and said not only did it not happen but they had not spoken to the father in years.  It was just someone who McMurphy paid for a story and the story ended up biting him.  Also, it was supposed to have happened in front of the entire team.  All of the African American players stepped forward and agreed with the player that it never occurred.

Hate OSU all you want but at least get the stories straight.

You are missing the issue. …

You are missing the issue.  He went there as a MLB Prospect to also play baseball.  The student who said those things was a member of the baseball team and had been for a while.  This guy has friends on the baseball team.  Fields did not feel he could play baseball with this guys friends.

Not in today's world!

Think…

Not in today's world!

Think about it this way - during the month of African American History was the NCAA going to tell an African American player that he had to stay in the place where he had had someone verbally attack him with racist language?  NO CHANCE!  The media would have been all over them!  The SJW's would be marching outside of their offices!

Then every fan base in America who feels the NCAA had screwed them at some point would have seen the opportunity and jumped on the bandwagon.  PSU fans still want revenge for JoePa.  USC fans still want revenge for the Bush sanctions.  The list goes on and on.

I believe Pryor was higher…

I believe Pryor was higher rated.  Pryor was number 1 I believe.  Fields was number 2.

It all comes down to if the…

It all comes down to if the other university fights the immediate eligibility.  UGA did not fight it.  Ole Miss did.

You have to remember Fields…

You have to remember Fields was a MLB prospect coming out of high school and was supposed to play baseball at UGA as well.  The student who called him the racial name was a member of the baseball team.  The student not only was not kicked out of school but still had friends on the baseball team.  That did make it impossible for Fields to play baseball for UGA.

I had always thought if I was his lawyer I would claim he wanted to play baseball at OSU.  Then have him go out for the first couple practices and then if he gets cut he gets cut.  But it would make the immediate eligibility a requirement.
