You are also assuming that the new HC Ryan Day will start Martell over a more polished passer.
Ohio State currently has a former 4-star pro-style QB (Matthew Baldwin) on the roster that took a medical redshirt this year. I would be surprise to see the offense that was on the field this year be the new standard at OSU.
Your stats 100% back up the OSU weaknesses. LB's generally over persue or are out of position and have poor lateral movement and makeup speed. The corners are average and tend to lose a high percentage of 50/50 balls and get a lot of PI calls. The teams that gave OSU the most trouble all year were the teams that took advantage of that. I honestly think that OSU would have more trouble with Clemson and Oklahoma than they would Bama, Georgia, or ND for the simple fact that they have the style of offense that could exploit the weaknesses. With that said, I am doubtful that OSU would win any of the above games but the scores would be closer in some than in others.
On a different note if you did buy tickets and you no longer wish to keep them. I am looking. No offense to anyone it just seems like a smart approach.
I used to work at the factory where they are made. The best way to eat them is still warm. One time I ate some many during a shift I could actually feel cavities forming. Now I think they're disgusting. You really can have too much of a good thing.

I have to agree. If the offense can move the ball with relative ease on the PSU defense, and by relative ease I mean not repeated 3 and outs, I think PSU may be in for a long afternoon. I think our defense finds a way to contain Barkley.
For what it's worth we all know the records get thrown out during The Game. I don't foresee this year being any different especially being played in AA. But maybe this falls in line with my previous post about not being sold on our offense just yet.
I'm not a troll so no worries from my end. But if I am trolled I will set you straight in a factual manner lol. I'm not so much of a homer that I can't see the flaws in the team that I root for. Overall I just love the damn game.
If it's any consolation I am also a Raiders fan, one of my favorite players of all time might of played around these parts once upon a time. #24 And my fiance is a Wolverine so there's that. lol.
Also can I cast upvotes/likes/points etc? Is there a post threshold of some sort?
Obviously I'm a fan of the Scarlet & Gray but I've also watched PSU play. I honestly do not trust our offense yet. Maybe it's just a really bad hangover from the Clemson whooping behind the woodshed? Can't say. I think I'll continue to feel this way until after the first quarter of football where I hope to have a better grasp on what this years team is really about.
If I was forced to pick a score I'd go OSU by 3 in a comeback win. I'm predicting a 7-17 PSU halftime lead but we adjust and win it with a field goal as time runs out 27-24. Although I've been known to not know what the hell I'm talking about. So....
All that aside I still believe this years version of The Game is going to be a good one.
I read your post and at that moment I knew I had to create an account after years of only reading what your posters here at mgoblog had to say about football things.
Just wanted to convey my deepest sympathies. I can't begin to imagine the pain you and your wife are currently going through. Some things, lots of things actually, are much bigger than football. This is definitely one of them.
I pray you find the peace you are looking for. People will probably tell you your heart will heal but I don't think you'll ever truly be the same. Not for nothing though as you will carry your childs memory with you always and learn to live life around your loss. It's not about pretending these things never happened as much as it is learning to cope with them and use them to rethink perspective as you've already mentioned. In effect you'll be a stronger person through their memory or in this case what could have been.
I wish your family all the best and hope you find your way sooner rather than later.
