I was a freshman in the MMB in 1997 and we definitely played Victors Waltz then. I want to say that it was a new arrangement that year, but I'm not 100% certain. I could be completely wrong, but I think the arrangement t was done by Jamie Nix who was a grad assistant and later became the MMB director from 2001-2006.
My favorite was always, besides the original, was always Hoover Street Rag. Credit to those backing Calyptors though.
