I think the difference right now is it is the B10 and not the NCAA. 

B10 is coming at us with the sportsmanship clause. The NCAA was using an in person scouting issue. It is a different charge which is a different defense. 

With this info the sportsmanship clause is being broken by lots of teams. How it occurred isn’t really relevant for the sportsmanship clause. Just that it did. This is mutual destruction. 
 

The fact that the offer was 2 games makes me think that whatever they think it is is not that serious.
