Interesting note, the NFL guys are saying Jabrill hasn't practiced any of the LBs drills. He thought he'd just be doing DB drills, but the combine is making him workout as a LB. He's on the sidelines practicing the drills before he has to go do them for the first time Tomorrow he'll work out as a DB

Wasn't it his pec that he tore last year?  That is probably the reason.  Not sure your bench gets back to 100% in a year after that.

On another note, there is this fucking annoying ad at the top of page that keeps scrolling me back up to the top no matter where I am within a thread.  I don't mind the ads, but does it really need to scroll me back up to the top of the page every 30 seconds?

What do people think about Peppers' 40 time? It seems slow given his reputation for speed (I wonder if he hasn't fully healed), although I'm not sure if my surprise is about his actual time or moreso that Darboh was somehow faster...

Very solid time weighing in at 213 (I think he was listed at 205 during the season). Personally, there was some blind hope that he'd hit 4.3 and shock everyone, but I'm an irrational fan. 4.46 is an excellent time and will have a lot of teams looking.

Also, the 40 takes a ton of training. Some guys just have better in-game speed. I wouldn't count Jabrill out against anyone during live action

TJ Green ran a 4.34 at 6-2, 209 last year. Brandon Williams ran a 4.37, Jalen Ramsey ran a 4.41. Sean Davis and Tyvis Powell also ran 4.46s. So I guess Peppers would have been tied for 4th for 49 time among safeties last season. His 4.46 was a good time, but really not what we all expected, I thought he had 4.3 speed.

There was a better than 50-50 chance he'd fall out based on every mock I've seen so far and with this time I wouldn't bet too much on round 1.

19 reps? Good, not great
4.46 40? Good, not great

Couple that with him not really having a clearly defined position in college and I could easily see him falling to the top of round 2

What coverage issues?  Why are you following the media script that he can't cover?  I'll bet that he'll be the best cover LB in the league, and the best cover corner, as well.  He can take corner snaps when needed.  He simply hadn't been asked to do so at UM, but he will be in the NFL.  And he'll excel.
