Does a bear shit in the woods?

Wisconsin has two weeks to prepare for us too, they’ve blown their last two opponents out of the water and haven’t surrendered a score, what do you think OP?

After today I’d be shocked if we kept it within two scores.

If you said before the game that UM would hold Army under 250 yards (including two OTs), 21 points, and 3.3 yards per rush I doubt anyone would have thought it would be a close game.  But when you turn the ball over 3 times and your QB seems unwilling or unable to run on the zone read, shit can happen.

What I see are a lot of people who like to complain constantly coming out of the woodwork to crow about being "right" about Michigan struggling because apparently their view on fandom is to be smug and pessimistic most of the time so that they can enjoy the good times and feel superior to everyone else when a team loses.  It's the part of the fanbase that I wish just stopped watching.

Wrong. All of you "everything is glorious" fans need to realize we aren't talking about one game. We are realists. The team sucks. Not because of the players, because of the coaches. Not just today, but last week, last year, last 5 years. It's always the same shit and you guys keep saying well we just need to correct a few things. Has that ever happened since JH got here? Have we ever improved? No and no. The truth is you "sunshine and rainbows" fans don't know shit about what really is going on or what should be going on. The coaching is horrific. You just don't know enough to see it.

Right now it's a loss and may not even watch. If they get the offense figured out in the bye week, they will have a shot. But we won't know anything until we see it.

I guarantee you are going to watch the game. You'll be over this Army performance by Wed or Thu this week and will be pumped for the Wisc game (same for me). That does not mean you're going to be glad you watched the game though (same for me). Let's hope they get their shit together during the bye week and that a health DPJ and Runyan go a long way to a productive offense.

We’re going to get buried. Absolutely no idea how anyone could think otherwise. Their offense is a nightmare match up for our defense. Our DL is going to get eaten alive. Offense looks like a lost cause unless McCaffery starts and becomes Joe Montana. Neg me if you want, but you have no evidence from what we’ve seen to have any other conclusion

People kept saying Army's offense would be a nightmare for UM and they held to under 250 total yards.

Wisconsin looks good, but USF and CMU are not good football teams by any stretch.  Michigan should rightfully be an underdog going into that game but I also suspect that the UM we saw today won't be the same in two weeks.

Jonathan Taylor averaged 6 ypc last season against a much better defense before Chryst forgot that he had him on the team in the 2nd half. If Chryst force feed him like Michigan did with Charbonnet, Taylor would get at least 150 yards without a problem in a couple weeks. The only question is can Michigan offense score enough and manage the passing game especially with Chepus emerging as a legitimate WR after serving a year suspension.

Wisconsin will get their numbers on the running game. Can Michigan offense figure it out which is the big question.

Yes, because they are the next opportunity for us to give up our perfect season.

No, because I have no control over the outcome, so why should I worry.

Harbaugh should be worried, however, seeing as how the team I've watched for two weeks probably should rightfully be a significant underdog in Madison.

However, an early season loss to Wisconsin isn't as damaging to our chances of winning the conference and making the playoffs as a late season shellacking by THE other team.

ASSUMES the worst??

I’m sorry, but are you literally blind?? Like, 100% cannot see??

Ain’t nobody here assuming anything. We literally just witnessed the worst. The worst was just broadcast on national television.

The only person assuming here is you...assuming that we’re just saving the good stuff for the “big” games and there’s nothing to worry about and we’re the greatest team ever. Heck, you’ve probably already booked your tickets and hotel to Indianapolis.

I saw Michigan play much better defensively than I expected and suffered a ton of unforced errors against Army.  If Michigan played like this against OSU or Wisconsin they'd get run off the field.  But I'm not assuming that will be the same result in two weeks, and I have enough confidence in this team that they won't have a repeat of today's game.

I do have a fear that something is physically wrong with Patterson and, as a result, they can't run the offense to its full potential and, unfortunately, McCaffrey isn't up to the level the coaches are comfortable with.  Because otherwise I would have assumed he would have been on the field earlier.  So that's troubling, and I think that puts the ceiling for this team at 10 wins.

But I have watched enough football to understand that sometimes you just play poorly, and with a new offense and some guys out (they are still down Runyan and DPJ), bad times can happen.  But they still beat a really good Army team (I don't think they'll go 11-1 or anything but another 10 win season certainly seems likely) despite having a lot of problems, some of which are systemic and some are just bad luck.

Call me a sunshine blower if you want, but I find your brand of "OMFG this is the worst!!!11!!!" reactionary bullshit to be tiresome and lazy.
