Why can't ex-players (DRob in this case) just keep quiet?

Former Wolverine offensive specialist Denard Robinson was back in Michigan for the Jaguars preseason game against the Detroit Lions on Friday night.
Following the game Robinson was asked about Michigan State winning the Big Ten title last season, "It did sting," Robinson told reporters. "But at the end of the day, the Big Ten won the Rose bowl. It was good that they won it, our little brothers won it, and pulled it out for the Big Ten."
Former Michigan running back Mike Hart was the first one to call the Spartans Michigan's little brother following a 28-24 win in 2007.
"I mean, it’s the truth. I mean, when it was first said (by Mike Hart) it was the truth, and now it holds true," Robinson added last night.
Robinson had one carry for 12 yards in the game but was also a standout on special teams in the Jaguars 13 to 12 loss. He also plans on being in Ann Arbor for Michigan's opener next weekend against Appalachian State.

Call them whatever you want. You can also call them Big Ten Champions and Rose Bowl Champions. Hurling insults like "little bro" at a team that stands where you want to be seems like lil' bro behavior to me.

The biggest problem with this thread is the title. Call it "Denard calls MSU Little Brother" and voice your displeasure in the body of the OP. People will agree or disagree, but they wont think you are an asshole. When your title asks why the players - who are kind of important compared to us - can't keep quiet, you are asking to be negged to hell. People think you are an asshole.

please shut up about "little brother".  So played and so not truthful anymore.  We have been getting our asses handed to us physically for about 7 years.

If MSU stopped acting like the little brother they might not get called the little brother

Same way people who always get picked on wonder why they always get picked on - it's because you always react to it. If you stopped validating the people mocking you, it would stop

thinking about or posting about Michigan.  Some of you people are turning into the same by even recognizing one year of sucess.  Really.  Next.

Sparty fans just  witnessed the greatest season they will  witness in their lifetimes, and still they obsess over Michigan.  For that reason alone, Sparty will forever be Lil Bro.

I'm part of a Face Book group of college football fans that is composed almost entirely of SEC fans. Now, they rag on each other with far more panache, and venom, than we Big 10enners do, but they do love their conference with far more passion, as well. Send me to Bolivia on the banana boat, but with a strong MSU, our conference is better. And, damn it, we need to be better. I want the Big 10 to rule the waves. I want MSU to kick Oregon's butt up one side and down the other, Wisconsin to do serious damage to Les Miles's psyche, and OSU to send Virginia Tech back to the chalkboard.

It's as simple as salt: We want a conference title, but we don't want that conference to be the toughest, or second toughest, in the land? I fail to see the full fun, or full pride, in that.

State is inferior, not just at sports but at life. Michigan is a better school, and its graduates go on to make more of themselves than Sparty grads do. Thats why they are little brother.
