Who is your choice for 2020 UM Football comeback player of the year?

Haven't seen any threads covering this topic, but it seems that this year's team has some players at key positions that are coming back from a long absence from 2019. That being said, who do you think is Michigan's comeback player of the year for 2020?

A. Chris Evans- 3 year contributor at RB, should enjoy being in an offense that better suits his skillset getting him in space and (hopefully) seeing more targets out of the backfield.

B. Josh Ross- Looked prime to breakout last year before injury, seemed to be taking the Devin Bush Jr. route from special teams thumper in 2017/2018 into starting LB in 2019. Combined with McGrone has built a lot of hype around the LB group this season.

C. Andrew Stueber- Never seemed out of place when called upon as the 6th OL in 2018, battled with Mayfield for RT in 2019 before the ACL injury. Seems like he is shouted-out daily by Ed Warinner on Twitter.

D. Other- Luiji Vilain is another obvious choice as a guy who is still writing his comeback story. Maybe it is someone nobody is talking about like Quinten Johnson (loved his HS tape, but have not heard Don Brown mention him at all)

I like all of these suggestions. How about Nick Eubanks, who went from deep threat at the 2017 Florida game to short option and arc keeper blocker last year? I’d love to see some TE down the seam, paired with the very effective arc reads from last year.

HM: Nordin (speaking of that 2017 Florida game) and Hart (borderline All-American 2018).

Would love to see ALL of the above absolutely KILL it this year!

Rooting for Vilain & Evans

FWIW - I read earlier on ESPN that Wisconsin starter Jack Coan just had foot surgery on Tuesday and is out indefinitely.

Might be more of a breakout scenario rather than a comeback, but I’ll go with Donovan Jeter.

Would love to see Evans go off even if a deep RB room makes that seem unlikely.

I like the young guys but Evans would have been the best back on the roster by some distance last year.

I hope it’s Joe Milton.   Although his opportunities were limited last year so maybe breakout player of the year would be more fair.  He is the key to the season

Chris Evans would be a great story.  So would Luiji.

Has to be Evans in space. Split him out, swing him out.. just get the ball to him and let him rip.  My concern is our 1st year starting QB and potential growing pains to include accuracy issues.

Considering Vilain was ranked right near chase young when they came out of HS as defensive end recruits i hope he can really bust out of no-where.
