Who has played their last game for Michigan?

With today's super sucky but not at all surprising news I was thinking about who we have now seen play their last game in the winged helmet. There are a couple scenarios at play in this depressing exercise:

Scenario 1: Have a spring season - this would most likely mean that most high level NFL talent sits out

Scenario 2: No football until fall 2021 - lets assume that all players are given an extra year of eligibility similar to what was done for spring sports. The issue of roster size and scholarship limits can be saved for another day.

Transfers will obviously happen, probably even more then normal, so no need to speculate on that. I would assume that Nico and Ambry are probably done in either scenario. Scenario 2 adds McGrone, Paye, Eubanks and possibly Hutchinson and Mayfield?

What are your thoughts / opinions

I don’t think there has been any official stance or position from the NCAA on this yet but I doubt a lot of players are going to wait and find out. I think we’re going to see a big exodus, petition for waivers, and these kids will (rightfully) dare the NCAA to tell them no. It would be a PR fiasco if they did, and the media would absolutely rake the NCAA over the coals for it. Especially if they’re going to grant waivers over something as stupid as a kid leaving for Georgia because he was maybe called a mean name by some rando one time.

This move could severely weaken the depth of B1G for a few years depending on how many guys leave, while bolstering the depth of the SEC, ACC and Big XII.

Dax can’t leave to go to the league. He’s only a true sophomore, so no matter what he’s stuck playing college ball until at least the end of the 2021 season.

That being said, if the NCAA grants waivers for immediate eligibility to players in conferences that have cancelled, he’s going to have a lot of suitors from SEC country coming up to Ann Arbor looking to poach him away, and fast.

Coach Harbaugh?

I'm sure he figured he'd have the program competing for NC's by now.  Not being able to beat the rival, not being able to compete with the cheaters, now the season getting nixed.....

I hope not, but he certainly seems to have lost a lot of the fire he had when he came.

As an NFL scout, its pretty obvious that you would want players like Lawrence or Fields to sit out the potential spring season. But for players with something to prove or were hoping to play themselves into the first round or the draft as a whole, do you think an NFL scout would prefer to see them perform in college during the spring and risk injury or sit out and train for the combine/work outs. Would a player like Nico or Paye benefit more from sitting out, staying healthy and having a good combine or from dominating their senior year? I think its a legitimate question and obviously varies from player to player. Was your draft status based on your physical attributes or your college production? That might affect whether or not we see any of these seniors or draft eligible players sitting out in the spring.
