Who's on KR and PR? (no inside info - honest question)

Submitted by Mr. Yost on

I preface this by saying, I've got no info and I would've included this question in the Camp Update thread if it wasn't blown to bits.

There was a lot of intrigue on this in the depth chart thread and I continue to see comments related to our return game.

We all know what Peppers was capable of, but his stability as the PR guy - saving yards was also huge.

Anyway, my hope is the insiders who lurk MGoBlog will provide shed some light on this for us. OR someone will just so happy to post some additional camp notes here on MGoBlog.

I've said this before: RT, the backup LBs, CB, P, KR/PR are my (personal) top camp battles - any info/insight is welcome.

In the meantime, please feel free to use this thread for speculation on who you THINK will win those battles or who you WANT to win those battles.

If nothing else, feel free to comment on what you hate somewittyname.

Let's just say...I'm not happy about it.

(in all seriousness, it's obviously a title I'd rather not have...but if I lost it - I hate that it was to that douchebag. Like I said in another thread, I was just hoping it was someone with an awesome drunken night who'd be apologetic in the morning. Instead, this fucker doubles down.)

Nolan's going to be a legend on these boards (minus the occasional dissenter or two) for the foreseeable future. His face should flank Bo's, Hackett's and Harbaugh's on the mgoblog banner when the new site is finished.

This was discussed on the wtka roundtable a week ago. Sam was hearing that they were looking at Nate Johnson for punt returns but also mentioned that Oliver Martin could get a look. There were a bunch of guys in the mix for kick returns including DPJ, Ambry Thomas, Nate Johnson, Chris Evans, etc.

I have no inside information whatsoever, but looking at guys whose skill set seems to match on the roster I'd like to see one of these:

1. DPJ

2. Samuels

3. Johnson

4. McDoom

5. Higdon

6. Thomas

A few of those you might not want to burn a potential RS over, but who knows.

care who does it as long as they catch the ball and when they do they pick the spot where they want to go and RUN!!! nothing worse than watching someone dance around waiting for a hole to open and it never happens... some guys like Peppers, Desmond or Breaston can do that but not everyone...
