Which 2021 recruit should we make the MGoBlog spokesman? And how much would you contribute?
Please don't take this seriously, I just thought it would be a fun exercise to see which 2021 recruit the MGoBoard would "pay" the most for.
Donovan Edwards, Rocco Spindler, Nolan Rucci, Rayshaun Benny or Jamari Budden?
Do we get Stephen Ross on board and get Korey Foreman and Damon Payne on TV doing commercials for SoulCycle and Equinox?
I will kick this off with a $500 pledge for Rayshaun Benny - high upside recruit at a position of need.
I would switch this to Rocco if he was willing to play DT.

I have no idea.
But I think this actually IS an idea to take seriously. Imagine, if you will, Mgoblog establishing a membership tier on its kickstarter. The basic kickstarter remains $15 or whatever, but for $30 you get a "membership."
For that membership, you get two privileges: The subtitle of "member" on the message board, and a vote in a single referendum which decides which student athlete the blog hires to endorse the blog, using 60% of membership fees (from that extra $15 on top of the guide) to pay for the privilege.
I mean, I'd kick in the extra $15.
Let's do it! I bet this blog could raise $100k for a spokesperson.

Naturally I think we would have to sponsor the backup QB.
You say this is a joke, but once this is allowed mgoblog has the ability to get uofm some recruits. The leadership (Brian) would need to coordinate, and maybe include community thoughts. But look how much money was donated to Ace just to be nice. Imagine how much we could get for a 5 star. Hundreds of thousands for sure.
The 5 star will need to send out a thank you or it may be the last one we get
But what happens when MGoBlog inevitably sours on said recruit?
