When will we know where Michigan's semifinal game is?

I find a little bit of irony in you telling others they should not be around sharp objects.

To sum up the most likely scenarios in order of likelihood
A) 1UGA, 2/3 UM = AZ for UM
B) 1 UM, 2/3 UGA = likely ATL for UM
C) 1 UGA, 4 UM = ATL
D) 1 UM, 4 UGA= AZ
E) Chaos (both lose) = who knows?
You can rule out A/C or B/D/E before 8 pm.
It’s possible to lock in A by second half of B1G game.
You cannot definitively r/o within A/C or B/D because they would require committee to determine how far to drop UGA or UM if they lose which would not be clear.
All in all, unless both teams win there will be risk in selecting flights before the final announcement

You nailed it.

We will be playing at 8:00 EST on Dec 31st, 2022 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ vs the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University.

Curious as to why you presume we'd be the 8:00PM EST time slot in Glendale - Us vs. TCU may not garner the attention that a USC-GA matchup gets for primetime. If your retort is time zones, last year already nixed that, as Alabama-Cincy (CST) were the 3:30 game and UM-GA (EST) were the 8pm game. A 3:30EST game is absolutely on the table Dec 31.

*4pm EST, apparently it's 4pm/8pm EST time slots this year

Book them for both locations now on Southwest (or another airline with a generous cancellation policy).

If we lose to Purdue now I am blaming Benvom for the jinx

Nine months ago we booked a 10 day Caribbean cruise over the New Year's weekend. As soon The Game finished I told household Six that we had to cancel the cruise, that we had a more important mission for New Year's Eve. Says she, cruise ships have satellite TV too, you're going.

Just book both trips and cancel the one you don't need next week.

I hedged and bought Fiesta Bowl tickets already, because I'm assuming 250 priority points aren't going to get me tickets through U of M and I figure prices will skyrocket once the teams are announced.
Yes, I'll have to resell them if Michigan doesn't end up there, but I think it's about 80/20 we are there.

JamieH, what was your section selection thought process? I'm thinking we will likely be the home side. It would be great to be near the University ticket allotment but I have no idea where that would be so I'll probably just go somewhere on home side.

I did this, too, on SeatGeek, but it is not clear at all how to resell them if we end up in Atlanta. Tickets are "confirmed" but not "delivered." I have a support ticket pending with this question but would appreciate any info you might have.

SeatGeek is now telling me they cannot be resold! Even though there are many instructions on their web site on "how to resell your Fiesta Bowl tickets." We'll see how get respond to my push back.
