When will we know where Michigan's semifinal game is?

I'm just thinking in terms of booking a flight.. Flights are reasonable to both locations at the moment, but I remember last year tickets rising to near $1k when I checked a couple of weeks before the Georgia game.

To sum up the most likely scenarios in order of likelihood

A) 1UGA, 2/3 UM = AZ for UM

B) 1 UM, 2/3 UGA = likely ATL for UM

C) 1 UGA, 4 UM = ATL

D) 1 UM, 4 UGA= AZ

E) Chaos (both lose) = who knows?

You can rule out A/C or B/D/E before 8 pm.

It’s possible to lock in A by second half of B1G game.

You cannot definitively r/o within A/C or B/D because they would require committee to determine how far to drop UGA or UM if they lose which would not be clear.

All in all, unless both teams win there will be risk in selecting flights before the final announcement

Curious as to why you presume we'd be the 8:00PM EST time slot in Glendale - Us vs. TCU may not garner the attention that a USC-GA matchup gets for primetime.  If your retort is time zones, last year already nixed that, as Alabama-Cincy (CST) were the 3:30 game and UM-GA (EST) were the 8pm game.  A 3:30EST game is absolutely on the table Dec 31.

Nine months ago we booked a 10 day Caribbean cruise over the New Year's weekend.  As soon The Game finished I told household Six that we had to cancel the cruise, that we had a more important mission for New Year's Eve.  Says she, cruise ships have satellite TV too, you're going.

I hedged and bought Fiesta Bowl tickets already, because I'm assuming 250 priority points aren't going to get me tickets through U of M and I figure prices will skyrocket once the teams are announced.

Yes, I'll have to resell them if Michigan doesn't end up there, but I think it's about 80/20 we are there.
