What will be the ratio of Michigan:TCU fans at the game?

TCU has a stadium capacity of 45,000, which is pretty small for a school in a major metro area in Texas

anyone know how many fans they have and how they travel In general? Are we expecting a heavy Michigan crowd?

The Purple Theory guys seemed pretty confident it would be an "unofficial home game." But they also worried about our edge rush and didn't even mention Colston Loveland, so...

I'm a little concerned about fan ratio, just based on anecdotal evidence. I'll be at both playoff games, but everyone I talk to wants to be at the final, not the semi. Michigan people seem to not want to go to Phoenix because they expect to win and don't want to make two trips out west in a week. Doubt TCU fans will have the same confidence and it's not as far a trip

LA wolverine here.  Saving all monies and revolving credit for a NC ticket, if we get there.  If we get there, Michigan will be well-represented at SoFi, like 2018 sweet 16/ elite 8 at Staples Center.  Those were basically home games. Wagner and other players commented on it, as did Beilein. Love the socal Wolverine nation. Go Blue!

FWIW tickets on the “Michigan side” of the stadium seem to be selling at a premium relative to the TCU side. Michigan is a lot bigger, but I do worry about fans skipping the Fiesta expecting to make the NC.

Michigan has a much much larger fanbase than TCU, but it's their first playoff trip and best season since joining the Big 12. That mobilizes a lot of fans and generates a lot of casual fans. I expect them to give a strong showing.

I live here in the extreme north side of The Valley and you would probably be surprised how many U-M fans (and OSU fans) reside out here. Especially in the fall, going out on a Saturday after a game it isn't unusual to see others wearing their U-M gear, just like me. The job market is healthy out here, and the weather is a magnet as well, so it's only natural so many of us were drawn here. I don't know how many alums/fans will be travelling from Michigan, but I'm fairly certain their numbers will be supplemented very well by alums/fans/expats who live out in this region. (My wife is still surprised by the number of "Go Blue" greetings exchanged with total strangers when we see each other's gear.)

Tickets for me are no issue. My issue if the F’n airlines charging 6k for a family of 4 to fly from DTW to phoenix. I can afford it, I guess, but refuse to be fleeced for a flight that 2 weeks later is 30% of that. My other option is to drive and that’s 1 day and 2 hrs. I’ll fire up the smoker and make some carnitas and have a Tex mex themed party with some Coronas.

It will be interesting to see how the recent issues at Southwest airlines might impact attendance.  For example, Dallas Love Field has a HEAVY Southwest presence.  I'd anticipate this to impact the TCU fan base a lot more than Michigan's.

I'd say 60% Michigan fans.  I'm not sure if its still this way but I remember whenever the Red Wings played the Coyotes there were more Wings fans.  Whenever they scored the roar was pretty good.  The only thing missing was the goal horn. There was a good crowd there for Piston games as well.  Michigan fans are spread across the country.

I've even met several Michigan fans here in Louisville that moved down here to work at our Ford truck plant.
