WBB: Ally VanTimmeren in
Ally VanTimmeren has committed to the women's basketball team. She is a 6'2" forward who played three seasons at Boston College, but sat out last season because of injury.

It's she any good?
That's a difficult question. Adds a little front-court depth, which the team needs very badly. It's a complete mystery what she'll bring after missing an entire year with a knee injury. I wouldn't expect her to start, or I would see it as a bad sign if she did.
She grew up in the Grand Rapids area, made all-state teams, was in the top 100 nationally as a prospect, but didn't really pan out for BC. Apparently very strong academically. If she can contribute, that's terrific. It seems like a good use for one of many available roster spots.
Welcome Ally! Hope things go well for you.
She has 2 M's in her name, I think it's a positive thing!

Hell yeah!!
Going to be an interesting off-season for KBA. Philea has made a IG goodbye post to Michigan so she's not coming back. It sucks for KBA because all of the momentum the WBB has have been evaporated. I wonder what is the issue when there are a bunch of players transferring out of Michigan this off-season.
'Evaporated' might be a little dramatic. They have the #4(!) and #20 recruits coming in on ESPN's top 100, both guards, and a third guard that is allegedly a 4-star. Two forwards are committed as well and they have a consensus top-10 class. Of course in WBB there is a big difference in, say, a top-3 class vs a top-10 class, but the recruiting momentum is still there.
Leila got her degree and possibly saw three guards coming in (two 5-stars) and maybe wanted something different. Sure, her experience would be great on the roster but they still have talent coming in.
Yes they have good recruiting class coming in, but most of the time freshmen don't make an immediate impact in WBB unless they're special like Bueckers. They lost a lot of key players to the portal so they went from a potential top 3 team in the B1G to almost essentially starting over.
Michigan is very thin at the frontcourt and has a lot of guards on the roster so KBA will be forced to play 3-4 guard lineup out of necessity.

For sure. We see talented freshman make an impact in WBB all the time; hopefully that's the case for Michigan this year too.
