WAY OT - MGoBloggers that you love to downvote

I really only downvote the Maizen family of accounts because (a) they are uniformly lazy and reactionary to "starz" and whatever his numerous paid accounts on 247/Scout/Rivals/ESPN told him, (b) he'd fill up the page with bullshit posts about how HS or college athletes suck because he didn't like losing to Ohio State or Michigan State, which is just bothersome to me because this site is a place where these guys stopped by and don't need some asshole calling them out, and (c) it seemed to REALLY annoy him to a level that usually led to him being booted from the site, thus uncluttering the site until his next account wandered in.

Beyond that, I basically downvote people who say stuff like "Player X is a lazy, greedy person because he didn't play in a bowl game" or "wants to get paid for playing a sport", but that's about it.

It's funny, I was trying to remember some of the all time greatest (or, I guess, worst) board meltdown posters were earlier today. Had to check the mod sticky to remember the name of franklin hatchett, was on the board but not posting for RDT, and of course what got me in the mood was the whole 1201 saga. A good summation of a few years of board conflict-stokers!

There are two kinds of people I can't stand on this blog: those who downvote others for no reason, and Maizen.

I rarely downvote bloggers but when I do, it is the comment, not the blogger that is getting a downvote...unless s/he is being a real douche canoe (a term I learned on this site.)

I guess it would be whoever is a big enough douche to start a thread like this. How's middle school treating you?

Hardly ever DV people...easier just to skip past goof posts and forget about them.  Old age has it's perks!

However there  are a few people that I make a point  of UVing cause I just generally like them.

I generally only vote one way or the other when they're already being voted up or down. I find it easier to live life by being told by others what to think.

I usually only downvote obvious trolling comments from Sparty or Buckeye accounts.  Or if there's some lazy negativity right at the top of a thread.

I don't upvote a ton either, except if there is an exceptionally well reasoned opinion -- especially in reply to mine -- even if I disagree with the conclusion.  Or if something genuinely makes me laugh.

i tend to ignore posters that i'm not fond of unless they post something so egregious that i will spend my precious mgopoints on a neg vote.

Big Boutros is my consistent non-downvote, that’s all I know.

I downvote anyone who is intolerant of other people's cultures, and anyone who is of Dutch ancestry. 

i usually don't downvote, but when i do it's for a type of post, not a person. you know, the ones that are maizen-y, or folks who are like "you know he's actually right" even tho everyone already got the fucking point ten years ago.

also posts that are angry responses to comments that the poster obviously misunderstood or didn't read but is too internet tough to yield. 

and finally of course the racists, whenever they seep through the cracks. 

The people who were, and probably who soon will be again, begging for maizen to come back by continually obsessing about him even though he was finally gone.

Given my prodigious and impressive number of MGoPoints, I downvote everyone and everything.

This thread reminds me of the junior high girl's sleepover game where they all sit in a circle and tell who they don't like. The girls who start the game are the ones who know no one's going to name them, and the rest of the girls shake in their boots, hoping no one names them.
