Wake up! It's Game Day!

Good morning MGoBoard members. It's game day and game 1 of conference play! I can't wait to watch Michigan assert its dominance on the field today.

What are you all doing before the game? I'm getting a little early morning studying done and will probably throw the football with my sons mid-morning. Then, I'm glued to the couch for the remainder of the day (I know, pretty unproductive, but mental health days are important too).

Go Blue, and enjoy the day!

Our eldest grandson turns 16 tomorrow. He is choosing fondue for his birthday meal. And, the "powers that be" have decided that it will be at noon today. Hopefully, for us Kansans, the game will be "over" by noon. We do enjoy fondue-in every way.

Otherwise, the16 year old could not care less about getting his driver's license. Now, his 13 year old brother is more than willing and able...and, being very rural, we accommodate him-not solo, but we take drives around the country-side in the pickup.

Actually? Going to move some crushed stone around a planned storage pad. Great cardio! Shower, then inhabit the couch and verbally mutter terps/twerps jokes. Going to be a great day!

Aside from the headache mentioned we are taking our foster dog to an adoption event at 3 today. Hoping the game has been decided by that point so I’m not scaring potential adopters with my pacing and cursing.

Slept in.  Ran a 5k.  Heading to the local farmers' market for some fresh beets.  Pondering my next bourbon purchase (after reading the Maryland game day beverage.)  May pickup granddaughter so she can spend the night.

Biggest flaw in plans for day is the lack of M Go Blue companionship while watching the game.

I may handwrite a letter of encouragement to my niece at MSU.  Poor thing may be handicapped the rest of her life and will need all the support I can send her way.  (Apparently, I didn't spend enough time with her in her formative years.)

I believe the Wolverines will be phlegmatic if not dominant.   Courage and GO BLUE

My wife said I had a seizure in the middle of the night. Shook for about 30 secs to a minute. I don't remember any distress at all, so I'm thinking I just had a dream I was back playing football. That, and maybe I should not have ate the leftover Szechuan right before bed. And maybe I have a sleep disorder. Years ago a laid out some dude on kickoff coverage, only to wake up with my wife yelling at me.

I'm ready for some football. Watching of course. No other plans, food or otherwise.

My 11-year old son has a travel soccer game at . . . 12:50! These noon kickoffs are rough for those of us with kids who play sports.  But, the DVR is set, and I hope to be home in front of my TV by 2:30. My wife and I, as well as our 15 year old son will turn off our phones starting at noon and go on complete media blackout until we finish the game. We’ve done it a bunch of times over the years and it works , as long as you avoid people as much as possible.  The key is not wearing any M gear and actually powering off your phone until you are caught up.

Enjoy the good times guys! I really love this community. We love a great university whose football team utilizes our heart as a fart pillow. We are logical beings being hooked into an emotional froth that we both understand is completely childish yet are powerless to resist. Flys to the light. Children to sugar. Ocean tides not caring that the moon exists. What does this say about us? We are complicated children at the alter of a fake religion in pursuit of expanding human capabilities to greatness. Who has it better than us?

looking for a fucking shut out in defense. Win by 17 in a conservative ball exhibition.
