The staff of the teams selected (mostly student managers is what I can tell from a ~30 second online search) compete in basketball games.

I had visions of competitions of which managers could line up basketballs in the straightest row or the quickest towel folding or fastest shoestring replacement.

Student manager teams were placed in brackets with the top team (as voted on by fans on Twitter) from each region advancing to the Manager Games Final Four where they will play each other to determine the national champion. Today is the last day of voting for the S16 match up against Wisconsin managers.
Michigan managers finished the regular season ranked #1 and are the top overall seed.

So this is what it has come to, eh?
hm. seems kinda cool, to recognize and support a group of kids that are integral to our team and bust their butts to help things go, far from the spotlight. i’m glad to give them some shine. but that’s just me.
I wish I was a volunteer manager back in the day. I have worked with volunteers supporting the football and basketball teams on several occasions. They had an opportunity to learn from some of the greatest sports leaders in the game and they work hard for that opportunity.

How are their sets? Are they amazing?
