Why? He's not going to be a major impact olayer year 1 regardless. It's like a free double redshirt if he does go.  The main knock on him is that he isn't as polished as typical similar rated recruits, so why not take two years away, he can keep practicing his football skills part-time and continue growing his already super athletic body.

You're essentially saying he's going to get the same training and development on a Mormon mission for 2 years than he would on the Michigan football team.  This comment is very dumb, sorry dude.

Him being at Michigan and developing under our coaches and Ben Herbert ASAP would be the very best thing for his football skills, not going away and doing volunteer work for 2 years.

Nice hands, nice hops.  I would like for us to sign him.  Don't care about having to wait two years, just so long as he doesn't take his mission in some third-world jungle teeming with debilitating disease.  He'll be bigger and stronger when he does show up.  Plus, there is something compelling about an 18 year old willingly sacrificing two years of his life to honor his religious beliefs, it speaks of commitment and character.

Really impressive athlete.

No problem with waiting 2 years, just a shame he won't get a chance to play with Colston.

Hopefully Michigan lands his commitment
