Very OT: What is the best Marvel Cinematic Universe movie? Also its the summer, what else are we supposed to talk about?

In my opinion Captain America: The Winter Soldier takes the cake. It single handedly ushered MCU movies into another direction and upped the quality. In my opinion the top five MCU movies are:

1. The Winter Soldier
2. Guardians of the Galaxy
3. The Avengers
4. Guardian of the Galaxy Vol. 2
5. Civil War

Civil War was long and not good. Liked the first Avengers and the First Guardians. Ant Man was also fun.

They reduced Tony Stark down to a reactionary idiot. Lady complains about them saving the world from Ultron. Lets make everyone register.

Captain America doesnt sign the treaty, and wants to actually investigate the attack happening on world conference. Tony declares him a traitor and tries to hunt him down.

Tony gets proof the Winter Soldier did not conduct the atack, and that he is a preprogrammed killer who is controled by codes. Then tries to kill him after seeing a video that the actual bad guy has set up for him to watch. He goes after Bucky.

Not to mention he endangered a 15 year old kid in a battle with lethal powered warriors.

Civil War in the comic books was Epic. Civil War on the big screen was trash.

All of them are worth watching, but nothing is great. GOTG is easily the best though. The green girl is HOTTT.

Guardians of the Galaxy is overrated. I didn't even bother to watch the second one.

I don't know how you can have Thanos in a movie and have it not be awesome.

They need to raise the stakes and do some of the massive contests (Beyonder, Thanos versus the entire universe, Galactus vs the universe, etc..

I prefer the more light hearted ones, so GotG and Avengers are my favorites (Deadpool too). Winter Soldier was good as well, though tonally different. Not a huge fan of the Thor films or Ultron. Civil War was ok, as was first Captain America. Iron Man was a revelation when it came out, doesn't hold up quite as well but RDJ is perfect. That said, just saw Homecoming, and it was quite good. First decent villain since Loki, definitely best Spider Man at least since the first Tobey Maguire one, and maybe better than that.
