UMSolar Unveils "Aurum" for 2015 WSC
The University of Michigan Solar Car Team unveiled their 2015 car, Aurum, at The Henry Ford this morning. This season marks the 2th anniversary of the team and their 13th new design. Aurum will compete against an international field in the World Solar Challenge across the Australian Outback this fall.
Check out their blog for pictures and video.
a car powered only by enthusiasm unknown to mankind. Look for it.
Think of the exposure if they arranged for Harbaugh to drive it!

edit: post above mine seems better informed
I think the team has been around for 20+ years right?
It's a great project.
Why no wings & stripes on the canopy? I mean if you are gonna put a "top" (the yellow thingy) on the canopy, at least paint it blue and put wings & stripes on it.
And DB isn't even here to charge you for it.

Got to the team's site and look at the image in the header. As gbdub mentioned, the wing is now on the side/tail of the car.
Looking at the 3D model of the car, that does not appear to be true.
Aurum ends with "UM", like the previous cars before it. Last cycle they did not do that, and well, the results were not good. They did not get their usual WSC podium finish.
Don't mess with what works.
Maybe they can finally beat the Dutch and Japanese this time. They've had several years now to perfect the 4-wheel design that gave them trouble last time.
This is pretty cool. Its an interactive 3D Model of the car.
