UM Schedule Challenge Coin
Couple questions regarding the schedule challenge coin and an inquiry. I haven’t had much success with the Google.
I have the 2015, 2017, 2018, & 2019 coins. I’m assuming they didn’t make one for for 2020(?). And I just ordered the 2021 coin.
Does anyone know if 2015 was the first year they started making these?
Did they make one for 2020?
Any chance anyone has an extra 2016 coin they would be willing to part with? Of course I would pay for it.

Is this a fungible coin to which you are referring?

I should have attached a picture but I’m doing this all from my phone. It is a physical coin. You can find it at the MDen, the only place I’ve really seen them.

I’ll source an image of the coin and sell it to you for vast amounts of cryptocurrency, how’s that sound?

Sooooo tempting but I think I’ll pass.

Interesting. I never knew something like that even existed.

Never knew they existed either. They look cool . Do any other college football teams make them ?
Id like to contrast ours to theirs , if so .

Somewhere out in AA Wolverine Devotee has felt his spider sense twitch.

He's on Twitter if the OP has that and wants to reach him.

What does one do with a challenge coin?

I'd drill a hole in it and use it as a key fob. Otherwise it's a useless memento that will gather dust.

A silver dollar size coin doesn’t collect much dust. Probably not as cool as your toenail collection but to each their own ;)

Mden at Briarwood Mall had some 2020 ones on sale last I was there, which was a couple of weeks ago.
edit: I should add that the 2020 coins featured the original schedule, not the pandemic-altered schedule

I believe challenge coins started in the US Military. If a service member produced his/her coin and you didn't have one, you had to buy the other guy or gal a drink.
I think we should make HTTV a challenge coin. If you're at the bar watching a game and you have your HTTV with you and the other Wolverine doesn't, they buy you a drink.
This would, of course, not include the MGoStaff since you should always buy them a drink for producing HTTV.

That’s correct. Now they are given as a gift in recognition of one’s service.
The rank of the individual who gave the coin also factors in. For example, if I receive a challenge coin from a Four Star GO, but someone challenges me with a coin from the SecDef or Chairman of the JCS I would lose.
Most of the time though Military Service Members just put their coins on display.

Had no idea what you were talking about, but after seeing them I feel like I want to collect them now too.

The football schedule coins are produced through Siskiyou Sports, which produces similar coins for other colleges.

while they have store, it is a wholesale store, not retail. So large minimum quantities (100+) are expected.
