I fully expected them to not be that good. They were a 5-6 win team the year they went 3-9. They just had a bunch of bad breaks go against them. Last year they were a 7 win team that caught every break to win ten.
They just refused to see this. Take the UM game last of instance, they had rediculous turn over luck. Both teams fumbled at least 2 times, MSU got all of them. Both teams also had a pass tipped close to the line, both went right to a MSU player. This resulted in 5-0 TO margin where Michigan had the ball at the end with a chance to win.
They are lucky to finish with the two worst teams in the big because they are most likely going to need to win their last two this year to get a bowl.

They were 9-3 last year, but the weather helped them tremendously in two of those games. This is a 7-5 team that has suffered a lot of attrition, and should expect marginal improvement. The fact that they expected to be "back" at the top of the division again is proof of how delusional they are as a fanbase and a program.

I think I watched more of the MSU game in our second half than I did ours. Nothing I love more than a M win but an MSU loss is right up there. Congrats to Northwestern for a well coached & well executed game.

Not many other options...last year they had us in prime time against Minnesota. Doubt this scares them from that, however I thought I saw on ESPN that the MSU/PSU game was a 3:30 game.

Not great but those are all Fox eligible games that are TBD. If Colorado is unbeaten (@USC next week), that might be the best option besides playoff baseball.

You are right, but Michigan was the #1 draw in college viewing last year if I am not mistaken. I think a 3-3 MSU vs Michigan is the best potential viewership rating on the schedule for those games that listed above.

Additionally, who would've guessed that MSU couldn't reproduce consistent 11 win seasons indefinitely with recruiting classes ranked in the high 20's, low30's once PSU wasn't shackled with sanctions and Michigan stopped letting Dave Brandon run shit.
