Off-Topic: False Alarm about Incoming Missile in Hawaii

“Someone clicked the wrong thing on the computer,” was supposedly the cause of the false-alarm. It’s odd, because you would think it isn’t that easy to accidentally trigger a state-wide ballistic missile alert. I couldn’t imagine how terrifying it was for the people in Hawaii.

I heard from an old military buddy this morning that they shot down a missile off the coast of HI and their base was in lockdown. This was before the lame media excuse of an error. Im not saying this as fact, just what he said well before the media spin.

I'm sorry for my American friends. I'd hate to have a senile philandering megalomaniac dotard in charge of things when a global catastrophe hits. you probably shouldn't have voted for a lunatic. sorry you've become a shithole.

Acting like this is something new, but hasn’t such an alert been around for decades? I mean, maybe not via cell phone alert, obviously, but this looks like an extension of the old Nuke sirens from the Cold War.

I feel like western culture peaked, some time like in the 1960s. The Cuban Missile Crisis pitted the two empires of the day and the best (and worst) of statesmanship and hegemony. This North Korea shit is bathos. A clownshow all around.
