Top Billin': Mike Dwumfour
Murf put this video up a couple weeks ago and I couldn't find it here on the board.
I've liked his analysis on other Michigan players this offseason and he seems high on Dwumfour.
Brian called Dwumfour the biggest defensive x-factor in HTTV and I think many of us agree his performance will be pivotal for the unit. Here's hoping he plays as well as Murf projects.
Forgive my embedding illiteracy.
I don't mind Top Billin' as much as some. But you can't say "Not a Highlight Channel" and then proceed to show nothing but highlights. Dwumfour certainly has some strengths, strengths that he can grow to be a better overall player. He also had his weaknesses last year, especially when he didn't win with his first step. You can't have an analysis of a player without highlighting their weaknesses as well and how/why they can improve.
Another weakness was his foot injury in the Maryland game and after. I believe it was a plantar fascia tear. I don't know that it required offseason surgery, but it nagged him for the rest of the season and even through most of spring practice.
Totally agree. It seems the concern among many was his ability against the run, and whether he can stand up to doubles. Do you see it the same? Any thoughts on other weaknesses, and chances for improvement this year?
He should say instead, not a lowlight channel.
Yeah, these videos are interesting but "look at these four plays where he did something good" isn't analysis. Especially when one is just the Wisconsin center going the other direction.
Dwumfour has a lot of potential to be a good player at UM and they desperately need him to be a consistent performer given the dearth of options at tackle. But we all know he has a nice first step; as you noted he struggles to adjust when that first step isn't enough.
He got abused in that OSU game.

The whole DL got abused by OSU.
A near-term post I'd love to see:
META: No more "Top Billin'"
Lighten up Jasper.
Does TB make money off these YT videos? Because, no offense, I could pretty easily do this for every player on the roster
Yes - if you subscribe to and contribute to his Patreon account.
And yes, he probably will do it for every player on the roster for clicks and $$$.
Yeah I think the value add here is minimal, if (edit): NOT zero. I mean, he can post whatever he wants. Doesn't mean it's worth watching.
