Several things to consider while pretending to work:

1. The Buckeyes must be feeling very confident about Cam Akers or Najee Harris.

2. Haven't decided if it's ballsy AF or stupid AF to tell a 4* star Ohio recruit to greyshirt.

3. Has expressed interest in Michigan but I doubt he would be a take now.

4. Here comes the next really good MSU running back from Ohio.

I heard on either The Solid Verbal or The Audible that the kid they booted last year with a "bad knee" that ended up at Auburn is going to see the field this year. Shady, shady, shady.

Don't you think thos situations are different? When a coach says "your knee is bad you'll never be able to play at this level" you can prove him wrong by going out and playing at a high level. If a coach says, "you've had too many concussions, continuing to play football is a bad idea" you can't really go out and disprove that. If Pipkins has a successful football season this year, that doesn't show that Harbaugh was wrong about his concussions.

I think the point WolvinLA was making, though, is that with a knee, the risk is that you just don't run fast enough or cut well enough to be effective. Whereas with a concussion, you can play effectively--but if the injury recurs you might suffer major brain damage.

Yes, concussions are worse than knee problems. But either way, a coach (or, well, a medical staff) is guessing at the likelihood of being able to contribute in the future. Obviously, Pipkins was cleared by another school's medical staff to play football again. OSU dropped a guy who's playing elsewhere, and Michigan did the same thing. The injuries are different, but the effect is largely the same.

Meyer cut a guy for medical reaasons because he didn't think he would be able to play at a high level and he also needed an extra scholarship for someone else.

Harbaugh cut a guy for medical reasons (at a mjor position of need for us) because he didn't want him to turn his brain into pudding when we did not need an extra scholarship (we were at 84 even after giving guys like Ryan Glasgow a scholarship).

The effect here is not largely the samem in fact it has very few similarities outside of "both teams medicalled a guy who might end up playing."  There's A LOT more to it than that.

I would argue that NT was not a major position of need with Mone, Glasgow, Hurst, and Henry available at NT. I also think you're defending Harbaugh because we don't want to believe he would do this type of thing.
Let me just point out that Jaron Dukes and Reon Dawson disappeared from this team when we all knew they weren't going to contribute and Michigan needs the scholarships. I think we're splitting hairs somewhat.

Ohh right okay. I was being sarcastic since they had 0 RBs this past class. I hope he doesn't fall into their laps, but that at least means there's still time for other schools to get involved.
