Another slow day so let's do this:

1) Split M or Wolverbear?

2) Muderwolf or Murderwolv?

3) Would you rather: A mascot or permanent tacky advertising plastered inside Michigan Stadium?

4) Who would have the better Hot Take voice: Craig Ross or John U. Bacon?

5) Bigger existential threat to Michigan: Rutger football or Nebrasketball?

My answers:

1) Long live the Split M.

2) Murderwolv. It's not a wolf.

3) Mascot. We would grow to love it eventually.

4) Craig Ross. He'd definitely give the better effort.

5) Rutger. Football is more easily threatened in general.

Wolverbear is a fantastic, subtle secondary logo. It isn't overused, it doesn't take precedent over the traditional block M.

Murderwolv

Mascot. Again if it is not over the top or the face of the department (like a Sparty level) mascot.

Craig Ross

Nebrasketball. If we lose to Rutger in football again, whoever is the coach will be fired at the end of the year.

Everyone who has time to read this, has 30 seconds a day to help us beat Ohio State, kick Wisconsin out of Michigan, teach GT that we are the best public university in the US, and remind TAMU that they are just like little brother.

probably wouldn't have commented, but I have to disagree about #5. Even though football is more important to most fans, a loss to Rutgers is a whole lot less probable than a loss to Nebraska in basketball.

Sure it would hurt a lot more, but it is a whole lot less likely. Enough so, in my opinion, that Nebraska basketball is more of a threat.

I think that's what makes it an interesting question. Nebrasketball has a better chance at (randomly) being really good, thus making it a bigger threat. But for me it still falls back on the fact that even if Nebraska became a perennial power that wouldn't really stop Michigan from achieving its goals in basketball.

1) Split M all the way just to spite Dave Brandon.  Besides, the  Wolverbear was permanently stained by maizen's use of it as his avatar.

2) Murderwolv.  To borrow one of Bo's favorite phrases, "No question about it!"

3) ugh, but mascot>>>giant Kraft macaroni

4) Bacon.  Everything, including macaroni, is better with Bacon.

5) Where's the threat?!

1. Who cares

2. Seriously?

3. I have a question for you.  Wisdom tooth extraction without anesthesia or eating dog poop?

4. John U Bacon is always the correct answer.  To all questions always.

5. Seriously? (The sequel)

The Split M has a lot of hate compared to Block M... but it has its uses. e.g., branding in hinterlands unfamiliar with college football like China or Missouri.

1) Split M or Wolverbear?

Wolverbear - to avoid the annoying confusion we produce with using both the split M and the solid maize M.  (solid maize M all day, BTW)

2) Muderwolf or Murderwolv?

Murderwolv, because agreed it's not a wolf

3) Would you rather: A mascot or permanent tacky advertising plastered inside Michigan Stadium?

No mascot, so I'll take the tacky ad

4) Who would have the better Hot Take voice: Craig Ross or John U. Bacon?

Ross

5) Bigger existential threat to Michigan: Rutger football or Nebrasketball?

Rugter because NY/NJ area crootin'

Advertising over mascot. Both are tacky, one is only slightly annoying, yet brings in lots of money, the other is embarrassing on national television, every time the commercial break ends, that stupid fucking goofy face, it becomes the face of all televised Michigan sports forever.

1. Split M brings back happy memories from 1989.

2. Dial M for Murderwolv

3. Mascot.  You apparently need one to win a football title.

4. Bacon man.  I stand with my pork producers.

5. Nebrasketball.  All it takes is a few transfers to do what they did a couple seasons ago.

1) Split M or Wolverbear? Wolverbear

2) Muderwolf or Murderwolv? Murderwolv

3) Would you rather: A mascot or permanent tacky advertising plastered inside Michigan Stadium? Mascot since it can become tradition; advertisements can never (or should never)

4) Who would have the better Hot Take voice: Craig Ross or John U. Bacon? Indifferent

5) Bigger existential threat to Michigan: Rutger football or Nebrasketball? I guess in the true meaning of existential, if Nebraska got good at basketball (which I think is easier than getting good at football in these times...one one-and-done player can turn the tide) I wouldn't question humanity or the meaning of life. If Rutgers became the OSU of the Big Ten...I would.

Since this is a "random" thread, why not another random question? Anyone else seeing points work again!?! Looks like they're working for me.
