Those who stay....

Michigan is a special place. Fans like myself feel it. Alumni absolutley know it. But what is really cool is when players truly understand it. When your players "get it" and pass up the draft to pour their heart into the program for one more year, it's speaks volumes. Senior Running back Karan Higdon is coming back to deliver a B1G title. Senior Defensive End Chase Winovich is doing the same. There is no doubt in Coach Harbaugh from the returning horses of this team. This team is going to prove a lot of people wrong next season. That's not from my mouth. Our kids get the pressure and the situation. They're behind Harbaugh and in 2018 it's going to get done.

Yes.

1993 class was the one who snapped the streak of every class since 1969 winning a Big Ten title when they had four 4 loss seasons in their 4 year span.

Not just Michigan, the top of the B1G is looking to be stacked with experienced depth again.

Wisconsin is returning essentially their whole offense: 5/5 starting O-Linemen, QB Hornibrook, top WR, and RB Taylor.

A lot of the projected early entrants at Ohio State just announced their return as well: RB Mike Weber, HB Campbell, WR Dixon, and DT Dre'Mont Jones.

Where did you get 10 lost starters on defense?

Looking at their depth chart are losing their 2 DEs, 2 OLBs, 3 CBs and a FS. Looks like that are returning their NT, 2 ILBs, and a SS. A lot of holes to fill no doubt, but ILB TJ Edwards coming back should be huge, he's going to be a solid leader for that side of the ball. Plus, they fended off FSU to retain DC Jim Leonhard.

In any case, Wisconsin's strength is going to be their offense next year. An 2-year starter in QB Alex Hornibrook, true freshman phenom RB Jonathan Taylor, 5/5 OL (4 of which were All-B1G), and I believe their top-3 WRs (Quintez Cephus, Danny Davis, and AJ Taylor). Their only major loss on offense is TE Troy Fumagalli. Paul Chryst is an offense/QB guy who should be able to take an experienced group like that and elevate them to the next level especially behind the legs of Taylor and the holes made by that OL.

Next season should be much better. I do see that our main rival is bringing back several key players that were sure fire draft picks too. It's going to take a masterful coaching job to go better than 9-3 but I think Jim is up for it

Not in a dumb way...but play with swagger. When you fall down, get back up. When you are toe to toe with msu and 4th quarter looming, don't back down. Ultimately, need QB to step up. Need a vocal leader out there. And need an o lineman to play with some pop. Defense will be fine. We have guys like Chase and Rashan who don't back away from anything.

We kicked their ass up and down the field last time we went to the shoe. The 2018 squad will be much more 2016 than it was 2017. Shea changes everything.....can't be stated enough. Praying for his eligibility. If he has a winged helmet this past year....Michigan was in the Playoff. Seriously. Wisky...Ohio state and MSU losses all fell on sub par QB play. Shea is a serious upgrade and once in a blue moon level of a transfer at that position. Literally the #3 player of his class and highest rated QB ever at Michigan. And he has a shelf full of toys to throw to...and an All-B1G back to hand it to. Fourth of JULY weekly...beginNing in South Bend.

Like...when was the last time we had a baker Mayfield type? A dude who everyone respected and wanted to go to battle for? I see O'Korn literally get smashed into ground intentional, late, in the rain vs msu, in front of refs (no call) and our o line does nothing. Nothing. Where are our warriors? Our swag? Why is our o line so non physical at point of attack at times?

Have had it since I enrolled at Michigan. It sounds overly negative but the haters are right: we haven't won a championship in anything since 2004. Even a NY6 Bowl win would be at least something to hang our hats on. Until these guys prove it, and win something other than a coveted championship of life (and in the case of some, gainful NFL employment) enough with this. Further proof that we're too busy trying to relive the glory days than compete now.

The Damn conference has been run by jimmy d since darn near the 1800s...and Michigan rarely gets a fair schedule or shake. That's reality. If we ever make the b10 game, and jimmy d is still in power, I truly hope we the fans bring some signs or some towels (like barstool did to Goodell opening NFL night) to call out this guy.

This is the 1 attitude that drives me crazy here.  Blaming the refs and Jim Delaney is the most beta, immature excuse possible.  We are a world class University with as much history as anyone playing the game, but there's a league wide conspiracy starting with Jim Delaney to keep us down?  Good grief

We are down because there is 1 dominant team and about 3 other great programs in the B1G right now.  Nothing we are doing is bringing us any closer to OSU or distancing us from the rest and that needs to change.  8-5 is a terrible time to have a lackluster recruiting class while OSU and PSU are getting full top 3 national classes.

BTW Parris Campbell, Dremont Jones, and mother f***ing Mike Weber all just announced they're coming back to OSU next year.

Maybe Brian should have a Michigan "like" icon on front page so modern youth can feel like they have upvoted their team - without creating a post.

You know - it would tell everyone that the GhostofMM14 liked Michigan today!

We as a fan base can kick this post and the sentiment behind it around. Staff changes were absolutley neccessary and are being made. We underperformed in 2017. Dissapointed in 2016. The kids that are coming back believe in 2018. Some passed up lifelong dreams to come back because they believed in Coach Harbaugh and the potential of 2018. Shoot the messenger or agree, it's all fair. Just know the kids who will play the game don't plan on losing a game nor do they look at the schedule like we as fans do. They relish that stuff and this group in 2018 will have some true captains. I can't say that's been the case every year prior. The talent is on the roster and the cold cement is at the back of the program. You will get the very best from Coach Harbaugh this year. His kids are going to play for him this year too.

Simply didn't get the draft grade that they were hoping for. They feel they can increase their draft stock with another season of tape. It has nothing to do with believing in JH or the potential of 2018. Higdon would have likely been drafted in late rounds, so why wouldn't he come back an try to better his position for next spring. If he would have received a 1-2 round grade - he would have tweeted a nice little "thank you" to all of us fans and declare for the draft. This is just the reality of situation and I'm damn glad to be getting those boys back too. It works this way at every program aroun the country.

Oh good grief. That is a pure embellishment. You label me negatively, offend purposefully and express your discord for me and I'm the clown. Stayed blessed man. Your opinion is yours to express. Michigan will bring much needed joy to your life in 2018 Mr. Smile.

C'mon, Harbaugh has yet to prove he can field an offense that can compete in the Big Ten and we have a murderers' row of a schedule next season.

We'd be in some deep kimchi right now if not for Don Brown.
