Hope this is a lame attempt at trolling

Just sad how pathetic some of our own fans are

Drives me crazy

So many of our fans are delusional when it comes to this.  These aren't community colleges being compared to Michigan.  Myron Rolle is the perfect example.  Who wouldv'e thought a recruit with that advanced academic ability would pick Florida State and he ended up with the Rhodes scholarship.

Ohio State's real life Wednesday or whatever they call it is consistently impressing recruits and their families.  Denying that a student can't have as good a life outside of football because our school rankings are higher is so damn ignorant I'm sick of it.  Fact is they've proven that if you want to be serious about your education and compete for championships you can do both at Ohio State.

Best college coach by a mile

Yes we are only talking college football, and nobody is close to Saban right now.  Hiring assistants and recruiting the best players is a huge part of the job and just some of the things he excels at.  Urban is the only one right now in the same stratosphere

Unfortunately this is the truth

Saban has an absolute strangle hold on the title as the best coach in the game and nobody could realistically question it.

As strong as Saban's grasp on #1 is, Meyer's is just as strong at #2.  The guy is a machine.  We like to joke how slimy he is but players can feel the success around him and I don't blame them for wanting to win with him.

I only take it personally if a player from Michigan chooses them, anyone else I understand

Schiano already gone

I've heard from my Buckeye friends that Schiano is already good as gone but that they stole Washington States D coordinator to replace him.

As for Day this could hurt their QB development with a brand new starter, hope it's true.

They are blowing us out of the water

They're 13-1 vs us, I don't care what the score is of any of those games.  That is domination

Thank you

This is exactly my point.  The lifetime success in the workforce is going to depend on the student, not the university.  Everything you're saying about our degrees from Michigan can be said about Ohio State.

Just imagine winning a recruiting battle with Stanford and hearing their fans saying the kid was making a mistake by going to Michigan because our academics aren't up to par.  That's what you sound like comparing us to OSU or any Big10 school for that matter.

The academics angle is so fucking stupid

This is almost as bad as blaming the refs for everything.

Yes we have outstanding academics at Michigan, we are not the only school that can say that.  Also we are talking about football that is all that matters here.  The truth is that a football player getting a degree at Ohio State and one getting a degree at Michigan is NO DIFFERENT.  The only difference is that one of them is gonna get 4 wins vs their rival and compete for championships.

Stanford is a better school than us but we don't look up to them here because we play better football, or at least we used to.

He's got a point

He's a stupid punk kid but he does have a point.  In his life he's seen what 2 wins against Ohio State.

The common denominator here has been coaching.  Sweater vest started by getting Carr fired and Urban Meyer has blown away all 3 coaches since.  Harbaugh is still my guy but he needs to deliver at least one time soon.  When we beat them with Meyer once then I believe it could turn the tide.

Ghost actually makes a great point

Didn't you guys see? We have a team in 2018 that doesn't plan on losing games!!!

This is innovative beyond belief, a real game changing day in our history.

Blame the commish attitude

This is the 1 attitude that drives me crazy here.  Blaming the refs and Jim Delaney is the most beta, immature excuse possible.  We are a world class University with as much history as anyone playing the game, but there's a league wide conspiracy starting with Jim Delaney to keep us down?  Good grief

We are down because there is 1 dominant team and about 3 other great programs in the B1G right now.  Nothing we are doing is bringing us any closer to OSU or distancing us from the rest and that needs to change.  8-5 is a terrible time to have a lackluster recruiting class while OSU and PSU are getting full top 3 national classes.

BTW Parris Campbell, Dremont Jones, and mother f***ing Mike Weber all just announced they're coming back to OSU next year.

Yes we have some good

Yes we have some good recruits but Ohio State has signed a higher rated class for many, many years in a row.  Not that recruiting stars are EVERYTHING but you're pretending that this talent gap is magically disappearing and now Penn State is right there as well.

I'm not as quick to bitch and moan as some are here because this is still a good team but there is definite warrant for concern.  A lot of what you're saying is just ridiculous but the 1 point you are dead on is that our QB play has been atrocious and Shea could be the answer for it.  I'm not saying he's gonna be Baker Mayfield (because who would really ever SAY that) but he could potentially be the difference maker.  If he beats Ohio State i'll name my son after him

"We kicked their ass up and

"We kicked their ass up and down the field last time we went to the shoe."

We rushed 40+ times that game for under 100 yards had 3 turnovers.  Our offense was the main reason they won.  That OSU offense was maybe at the worst we'll see in the near future and they scored 30 points and beat us.

So clever of you

Hate that what us realistic fans are saying so call us trolls.  It's probably the most logical and predictable behavior from people on this site.

We were told Harbaugh was in the same class as Meyer and Saban, we were lied to.  Since he's been here the gap between us and Ohio State has only grown larger while other coaches have moved ahead of us.  Penn State is flat out a better football program than us right now.  Sparty could make that claim as well.  Even with all this nonsense going on around us, I'm called the troll while you all still praise Harbaugh for basically doing nothing.

He's great entertainment for TV, but he flat out sucks at coaching.  With the resources at Michigan we should compete for the Big 10 every year, instead we're praying on ANOTHER transfer QB to save us.  Spoiler alert: He won't save us...

Look at me i'm SHOCKED

Urban Meyer outclassing us in every possible way.  Unless you grow up rooting for UM I can't see why you wouldn't pick Ohio State right now even for an area like Bergen County NJ that usually favors us

Besides the amount of ESPN coverage, exactly what is different?

He hasn't delivered anything on the field.  It's all been hype and promises and nothing to show for it.  2016 was our best chance by far as we still could not beat Ohio State.  I'm personally getting tired of his gimmicks and the rest of the conference has turned us into a punchline.  Now Franklin has even turned Penn State into a contender where we might be the 4th best team in the east.  We were not in as bad a position under Hoke and we probably just finished the worst offensive football Michigan has had in half a century.

I used to be worried that Harbaugh would ditch us for the NFL, now i'm praying a team like the Giants or Colts would be stupid enough to offer him

World class con artist

Maybe because we are so starved for even a decent football team, but somehow Harbaugh has conviced us all that he's a great coach while delivering the same exact results as Brady Hoke.

The only difference is that under Harbaugh we win the off-season every single year.  We'll be all over ESPN while the team vacations in Europe next year.  Meyer and OSU will have a very boring vacation because they're preparing for the season, and then they'll wax us once again.

Conspiracy

This is obviously a league wide conspiracy to screw Michigan however possible.  We are easily the best basketball and football program in the conference, and the only thing holding us back is Delaney and his quest to keep us down.

Ohio State and Penn State are not better football programs than us, they just have the refs on their side.  It must be because of Harbaugh.  They're threatened by how powerful he is so they've screwed us with bad officiating.

It's time we leave the conference and maybe the entire NCAA, we'll just play intersquad games year round and know in our hearts that Michigan is still the best program in the country.

Trenches

If you took Jamarco Jones and Billy Price away from Ohio state, it would decimate their offensive plans this year.  Their O-lne is going to be a major improvement from last year.  Their young guys who struggled last year have an entire season and off-season as starters, but Price and Jones are the linchpins.  Losing an All Big10 at Tackle and Center would destroy Kevin Wilson's new plan for a downfield passing attack and even their staple power run offense would struggle.

So not only would Michigan's O-line be a strength, but OSU would struggle all season.

Besides those 2 I think the picks have to be Barkely from PSU.  He's the best offensive player in the conference and behind Michigan's new stacked line would be a heisman candadate.

To fill out the list I would pick Nick Bosa and Denzel Ward from OSU.  They are both difference makers on defense.  Ward would be the number 1 corner and make it easier on the rest of the secondary by filling secondary roles.

Bosa adds to an already strong defensive front abd has more upside than anyone on the unit other than maybe Gary.  With Gary and Bosa you could be looking at 2 All-Americans on the line, that added with Ward and an excellent coaching staff would be scary.  Plus facing a now depleted OSU line in Ann Arbor would make Michgian heavy favorites.  Although losing Bosa wouldn't have a drastic effect on a stacked defensive front for OSU, the benefit for Michigan is too good to pass on.

Taking JT away from OSU wouldn't have near the impact that other guys in this thread would.  Unless you take the next 2 QBS off their roster (Haskins and Burrow) that position would still be a strength for them.

So it's

Jamarco Jones OSU

Billy Price OSU

Saquan Barkley PSU

Nick Bosa OSU

Denzel Ward OSU

It really did

UM goes up 17-7, then gets outgained 235-61 for the rest of the game.  UM has the lead and gains 5 yards in the 4th quarter.  43 rushing attemps for 91 yards (2.1 average) and 3 turnovers.

But it was the refs...

Officiating wasn't the problem, the better team won

Playing the victim card is such a bad look, may as well be Penn State fans.

First defensive play.

Jourdan Lewis blows up a flanker screen for a 2 yard loss and Bucky Badgers are playing behind all day.  Michigan rolls and controls all 4 quarters, 48-13

Knox out

It's good to see depth is an issue at an important position, but I'm sure they could replace one guard with another highly touted underclassmen.  Mulitple injuries on the line would decimate anyone though, and there's a long time between now and Nov 26
