he's been super aggressive (and effective) offensively yet would be great to see him fill out the stat line a bit. he's below the curry line in those three games.

to be fair to him though, it's hard to put up many assist numbers when the ball basically stops moving once it gets to carmelo, amar'e or jr smith

I find it a bit odd that the Knicks still don't start him. I guess it's because Iman Shumpert has been so productive lately.

I'm kidding with you. Iman Shumpert has not been productive lately.

Yeah, I think Atlanta and New York are politely trading jabs right now for the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference playoff standings, and while that isn't really all that impressive by the record, THJ is definitely part of the reason the Knicks are able to say that. I would think that counts for something all the same.

The Pistons would likely need Atlanta, New York and Cleveland to collapse down the stretch, on the other end. There's a sentence you don't see written every day.

are you serious?  THose that think Burke is doing great need to take off their maize n blue glasses.  If he keeps doing what he is doing, he will be out of the league in a few years.

I always knew Hardaway would be the best pro.  My only concern/doubt was his handles.  But he has an NBA jump shot, and can create anytime he want.  He definitely has staying power.  Burke?  Not if he doesnt improve.

Read somewhere that Tim Jr is the only rookie to INCREASE his 3 point FG % from college to the NBA. Also read that he is the best finisher at the rim of all the rookies.

He needs to work on his handle to get a dribble drive/pull-game and learn what defense is and he'll be a starter 10 years from now.

Burke is also trending upward in his last few games.

And it's happening right before our eyes. When I think of all the doubters and detractors saying he didn't have an NBA game, it makes it even sweeter. Also gives credence to what his pops was saying in that THJ never could show off all his skills because of the structure of the system he was in for the better of the team as did Burke.

Sr. also mentioned that Jordan was inhibited by the college structure. Ultimately though the game is about winning and Jr. said the sacrifices took them to the national championship game. Beilein has talked about the balance of learning when to run a play and when to be a player. I actually think he's learning how to coach to that as much as his players are learning when to make that decision. Yesterday Caris was supposed to be flying back on defense when he decided to crash the boards and come up with the critical last rebound. He says he made the decision because his man wasn't boxing out. JB says it would have been a defensive disaster had Ohio come up with the ball because Michigan didn't have enough men back.

Here's the link to a more recent article about Timmy and his chemistry with last year's Knicks first-rounder:

http://nypost.com/2014/03/15/shumpert-hardaway-playing-well-together/

On one fastbreak hookup early in the second quarter of the Knicks’ 115-94 win over Milwaukee on Saturday, Iman Shumpert darted downcourt and lofted a perfect alley-oop pass to rookie Tim Hardaway Jr., who on the dead run slammed it home. Hardaway put a fake phone receiver to his ear to commemorate the play as the Garden erupted, forcing Milwaukee into a timeout as the Knicks went up 12 points.

It was emblematic of the new-look Knicks, who have won six in a row since a new configuration that has Shumpert coming off the bench to form a dazzling tandem with the rookie Hardaway. They are the Knicks’ last two first-round picks and drew lots of attention at the trade deadline.

When i heard about Uncle Phil getting hired as President of the Knicks, my immediate thought was 'what will this do to THJ?'   I think Phil sees THJ as a big asset to the future of the team.

THJ is looking more and more like a player to build off of with some of the other top players getting older and getting closer to already peaking.   The Phil hire has be very curious on the future of this team, mainly THJ.
