It's not like anything of substance happens anyways.  Hoke parrots the same shit every week.  It'd be hilarious if the media boycotted these -- I can't fathom why people go.  Just livestream the fucking thing or have a prepared statement.  "Not talking about injuries" "The Big Ten championship is still attainable" "Helluva week of practice, I love my 115 sons".

The good ones will be gone. Couple that with DB being here (Ross and some Regents like him) and we will be lucky to get a Narduzzi, if someone like Austin decides to stay pro.

I'd like to see Brady axed before the OSU game. Anyone remember Earl Bruce?

Also remember you are talking the SEC, where there are no gentleman's agreements with regards to prospects and coaching prospects.

Forgive me if I am a little paranoid based on our last two coaching searches.

I also think this team is devoid of emotion and killer instinct. Playing for a coach that is a lame duck often fires up a team, producing victories - I don't care if they will be relatively meaningless. Have some pride.

Hey just wait a minute. You telling me we got a couple more months of this crap?

Why can't Les just walk out the back door at LSU, not much happening there right now anyways -- and start early. Turn this sucker puppy around and we go bowling!

Why make things difficult?

They beat one of their most hated rivals and there's panic and anger in the air over how little they beat them by.

Cheer up, Florida.  It could be worse.  You could be Michigan and not be able to stay within 4 touchdowns of any of your rivals.

The fact there is talk of changes being made after a win is something I am terribly envious of. Whether anything major is done, that's how a percieved historically power team should react.  I'd love to see Michigan show but a fraction of that sense of urgency.  While Florida is in a tizzy over 1 point victories, we're over here saying "wins and losses is just a statistic."

Indeed.  It's yet another sad thing that we've been reduced to.  But we heard it long before this season even started.  Over the summer, Hoke and the players kept making the comment that last years team was a few plays away from being 10-3 instead of 7-6.

When you go by that mentality and completely ignore how GOD awful you looked from game 3 to game 13, I guess we shouldn't be surprised when we now hear that wins/losses are just a statistic.

Florida fans may be in pain right now but I'd take their pain over...this..any day.

Dantonio and his players kept referring to this exact same thing over and over before the 2013 season, when they'd gone 6-6 the year before with several close losses (and wins).

These statements/mentality in and of themselves don't mean anything, they just appear to given the losses.  Being outcoached however in every important game this year, however, does mean something.

When a newly appointed coach says things like 'the goal is to win B1G championships' and that National Championships are not worth setting goals for, you get the sense that Michigan's ambitions don't quite align with those of the more recently succesfful, elite, Southern programs.

Except for the fact that Brady Hoke never said that "National Championships aren't worth setting goals for."

Nice strawman.  Arguments work better when you aren't making up your facts. You can criticize Hoke rightfully for many things, but that he doesn't want to win national championships isn't one of them.

I actually don't think WM should be axed. The dude has lost his starting QB for the season 2/3 years. He should definitely get the rest of the year to prove himself, especially with a 3-1 record.

I think what's exacerbating the issue with the appearnce of the offense is that Florida's had two QBs transfer to ACC schools and run good offenses way better than anything they have in Gainesville:

Jacob Brissett at NCSU - 119/185  1399yds  64.3%  13/1 TD:INT ratio QBR: 71.9
Tyler Murphy at BC: 660yds bad passer, but good runner. Beat USC QBR: 80.1

Jeff Driskell at Florida: 76/139 695yds  5/6 TD:INT QBR: 37.0

I recall a press conference being boycotted by the media a while ago, I believe it was for an NFL team (was it the Giants?) and the coach showed up but none of the media went. It was hilarious and it showed him go up to the podium for a second, then just shrug and leave. Would LOVE to see this happen with us because our press conference are literally pointless anyways

UF beat writer says their QB (Harris, the new guy, not Driskel, the older guy everyone never wants to see play again) is being investigated for a legal matter.  If that's what's causing the presser to be cancelled then the two options are

1) It's REALLY bad

2) The AD decided he didn't want his HC going in front of the press without all the info and made to look like a fool.

Pretty sure option 2 isn't possible, so it's gotta be option 1.

It is pathetic that I hope Florida screws itself out of going after Dan Mullen so we have the best chance to get him. I guess that's where I'm at with Michigan Football.

I don't think that's pathetic at all.  I am a huge fan of Florida for that very reason.  I'm also a huge fan of whoever plays the 49ers (though I think it was Jay Glazer who reported/tweeted yesterday that Harbaugh is likely out "even if the 49ers win the Super Bowl).

maybe he could join our defensive staff. He's had issues as a HC, but his track record as a defensive assistant is pretty good.

Wait ... an AD who COMMUNICATES with his coach ahead of a Monday presser rather than sending him out there to look like an a$$ without information.

But more important - there are other ADs who communicate to their coaches outside of the film room where they sit in and watch?

What is this sorcery?

I was honestly surprised no one made the obvious comparison to Michigan's bungling of the Morris fiasco.

See that Dave Brandon? A competent AD cancels a press conference when there's no news to report on a very pressing issue, even when the media doesn't know about it yet (let alone when the national media are all over it). A competent AD doesn't leave his coach out to dry and make his program look like a farce. A competent AD tackles these issues head-on rather than letting them fester over days...DAYS! For something that the medical staff would have known right after the game when they actually did evaluate Morris! A competent AD doesn't hide under the guise that he "frankly had more important things to do" when asked why it took so long to just talk to the press about it (since Hoke didn't or couldn't, it falls on YOU to fill the gap.).

Harris the backup qb who was likely to start remainder of season charges with sexual battery....and we thought it was bad up here
