Go Blue!
As our "RIP Coach Mo Miniseries" continues with the countdown's first true star player in a minute, we move to Happy Valley in 1993 — where #37 took crucial part in one of the greatest goal line stands ever...
Thanks WH and enjoy!
J-wig, this is a great video for today, and a great way to start the day. Thanks.
Great to see the charm of VHS quality recordings!
We Own Penn State!
I was at this game. First ever meeting between these two schools. Their fans were so certain they were going to own the BIG. It was a glorious afternoon.
Today's two juniors in the NIL Spotlight: wide receiver Eamonn Dennis and tight end Josh Beetham.

We're just a couple of days from August!
Good Lort..... we're damn near into the final month of countdown!
Lort. I believe that's a cousin of the Lorax.

Not even a typo, just how it's being said these days
For realz? Cool.

Probably my favorite #37 was Jim Smith. Rick Leach’s favorite target, Jim had the first score in a 22 point, second half outburst against OSU in 1976 on a beautiful pitch/end around from about 25 yards out. He was big and fast.
Indeed. He didn't get a lot of targets with that running offense, but he made the most of his opportunities.
That 1976 game was probably my favorite in the series along with last year's game. Shutting out OSU 22 zip in Columbus was incredible.
My tickets just showed up on StubHub a few minutes ago. Found a seller with a conscience and got great seats for a very reasonable price. Will be my first Big House appearance after 50 years of fandom.
One of the few things I've truly enjoyed about aging is that when I'm looking forward to an event (game/visit/holiday/vacation/whatever), time flies and then the moment has arrived. Goes with the age (late 50s). Season opener has been the exception. Feels as if it's taking forever.
Can't remember if it was '95 or '96 but I recall Keith Jackson (parphrasing) how M had an all defensive name team with the likes of Irons, Steele, & Sword on it. Truly believe that Jackson held Michigan in higher regard than any other program.
Other names on that '95 roster:
Biakabatuka, Floyd, Griese, Hamilton, Hayes, Horn, Howard, Jansen, Ray, Riemersma, Runyan, Toomer, Tuman, &..... Woodson.
I was a freshman in 1995. Great memories of that year!
