There are...
...days until Jim Brieske (PK/C 1942, 1946-1947) supports Michigan in spirit on September 4th as they take on the Broncos of Western Michigan at the Big House.

Go Blue.
Thanks to the Bentley's new digitized film that has made this year's countdown more awesome, here's the season opener from Mr. Brieske's notable senior season...

The #1 internet truth when it came to 2000s Michigan Football:
Guns don't kill people...
...kills people.
8 weeks!
You're trying to tell me that 7 x 8 = 56?
Next thing I know you'll try to convince me that it's 2 months.
I am entering this season with absolutely no idea what to expect. The only other time I felt similar was ‘08. Hindsight says we should have known we would suck, but I know I didn’t. The difference here of course is it’s the same head coach as last year, though lots of new staff too. I can justify any record from 3-9 to 11-1.
Reading his Wiki page just now and the question that really stands out as I get to his brief time in the NFL is this - has a member of the Mara family ever NOT owned at least a portion of the New York Giants?
No. The Mara family founded the NFL with George Halas. Halas’s daughter still owns the Bears at 98, and the Maras have always had ownership in the Giants.
Color film look and feel is rather nostalgic. I love the uniforms. They could be used once a year or every other year in my opinion.
Evidence that new things aren’t new…the play at 6:13 where the entire backfield shifts to the right and it becomes a direct snap to the tailback is used on a semi-regular basis even today.
