"the headstone itself is, as you might expect, lacking in frills. It's not the largest or most ornate grave at this particular bend in the trail of Forest Hill Cemetery. If not for the small block "M" football tucked into a carved-out corner, folks that don't already know the Schembechler name would wonder why so many people make their way to this site on the outskirts of Michigan's campus each year.

I hope you wished the better half a happy anniversary this morning, before you counted the days to kick off with your calendar in front of you and realized what day it was.
Two facts from own experience. Fact 1: for 18 years, I have never forgotten an anniversary. Fact 2: I did forget her birthday once, years ago. Guess which fact still gets mentioned by Mrs. FannMan?
