Some traditions just refuse to die, I guess.

Any Michigan fan who predicts victory in a bowl game against a quality opponent represents the triumph of hope over long-established reality.

A great season. A great team. Can't wait for next year.

Yeah, helluva season and in a couple days I think (hope) I’ll be able to appreciate it more. Right now I’m just sad, and it really stings

It was a great season. After we finally broke through last year, how many of us thought that we would be even better this year? We avenged the loss to Sparty, curb-stomped an undefeated and supposedly-hell-bent-on-revenge OSU on their own field, won the B1G, and completed a perfect regular season. We're 25-3 over the past two years, and most importantly, zero of those losses and two of those wins have come against OSU.
This team has a lot to be proud of. Let the New Year wash away the negativity and look ahead to next season. GO BLUE.

Well said. My freshman year was 2004. In case I need to spell it out, that means that before last year I got to see 7 straight OSU wins (incl of course my entire undergrade career), one close win over a sad OSU team by Denard, and then 8 more OSU wins to go along with 0 Big Ten titles.
So uh, let's just say that the idea that my current state of mind regarding the 2022 season would be "disappointment" doesn't really compute. This has been an incredible two year run! Let's make it a threepeat! Go Blue!

A thousand thanks to the 2022 team!! 13-0 with another victory over OSU and a second Big Ten championship in a row. The team also battled to the end in the CFP game.
Even though the season didn't end they way we wanted, it was a fantastic season. The results were great, but this kind of season after the 2021 campaign makes it possible to reset expectations higher, year in and year out. Before the 2021 season, I wrote that I would be happy with beating OSU some of the time -- I may have said 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 games. Now, it seems like that expectation should be closer to 50/50 or even tilted in our favor in the Harbaugh vs. Day era.
Playing OSU every year essentially for the conference title, yeah, that sounds really nice.

Agreed. Thanks to the players, coaches, and staff at Michigan football for a wonderful year.
Let me get all into my feelings for a second. There were parts of the pre-game hype video at the Stadium that used to bother me. The parts about the program’s belief in “championship football” and pursuing national titles rang hollow to me. We hadn’t won anything in years and weren’t close to the playoffs. The Rich Rod and Hoke eras still haunted me
The last two years have flipped that around. The program feels different. Conference titles matter and we are back to back champs. OSU fans get to spend another year obsessing about a butt-kicking. This year confirmed that last year was not fluke or an accident. We have a massive amount returning and it seems sustainable.
It sucks not to have one more game, but this is another universe from the 2008-era where we just wanted to make a bowl game.
Thank you all for this wonderful year. See you in September.

What an awesome year. I firmly believe they haven’t reached their ceiling yet, and there is a tangible gap between where they are now an their ceiling. Great season, boys.

It was a great year. Sure we and team wanted a win vs. TCU. Still, it was a great year and huge excitement along the way.
Also, I must say, beating anOSU again -- and in their own stadium, and by a lot -- is more wonderful to me than anything else.
Way to go, 2022 Wolverines!

Having lived with Michigan football PTSD for over a decade, this season got me over the traumas of the past, to the point of really being able to enjoy games again. The Fiesta bowl for me was more of "Deja Vu" anomaly. I feel like team 143 was a true amalgamation of Michigan Football.
GO BLUE!

What a great regular season and Big 10 Championship game! Congrats to the team for an amazing year.
