It's not feasible that Bell catches FEWER balls next year. Most likely will be more. Maybe his decision is an indication that he's not confident the pass game will take a step forward with two running QBs and the math tells him there's no way his production in his final year will give him a draft bump.

I don't understand how people place McCaffrey and Milton as running QBs. I don't think you become a borderline 5 star QB just for your running abilities. He has shown in his time at Michigan that he can make all the throws as well as having a nicer deep ball than Patterson could dream of in my opinion. Same thing basically with Milton, although he is not as polished, he's probably prone to making more mistakes as he learns how to read defenses and that has shown in his limited game time I believe he's thrown a couple picks. I don't think Harbaugh's plan with using McCaffrey this season was strictly in running situations only. They didn't utilize him correctly and honestly if Harbaugh didn't want him to sit all year it means to me that he's too good to sit. I just think Harbaugh valued Patterson's experience so there was no way he was going to bench him in favor of Dylan. I really don't understand how Michigan fans can sit here and say for certain what he can and can't do. Based on what? Last season he was thrown into the ND game and showed more poise in the damn pocket under pressure than Patterson ever did despite his experience. Being 6'5" he's going to see the field better I believe, he just needs to learn to slide or get out of bounds to avoid big hits which definitely will be stressed to him if he wins the job. I don't think Milton should jump ship though because he's only a play away from being the starter if Dylan were to take another bad hit. Not to mention he's a McCaffrey. They are gamers, it's in their entire family. I expect McCaffrey to play well and certainly quiet the doubters next season. Shit his younger brother Luke who wasn't even as highly rated might end up stealing the QB job away from Martinez at Nebraska.

Good luck TB. If a player no longer wants to be part of the team, for whatever reason, it is probably best for the player and team, for that player to leave. He probably would have worked his way to #2 but he did seem a step slower and was not a favored target. I think Johnson will become another Collins. There's a slight chance that DPJ will be back for one more season, there is big contract difference being number 3 or 4 in the draft and being a number 2 pick. Collins is a sure number 2 pick and he will be on his way to the NFL.

why do people think DPJ is coming back?  we'll have an unproven new QB and we lose 4/5 OL.  Seriously?  We'll be running more often (well trying to run) as pass blocking is more complicated.  If DPJ thought his numbers were low this year......

He can work on his run-blocking if he comes back; he'll have that going for him.

Well first off DPJ has always spoken about how important his education is. Secondly, he was hurt for half the damn season. If you honestly think he can't do better next year than 33 catches for 404 yards or whatever it was then that means McCaffrey or Milton whoever is a significant drop off from Shea Patterson(holy shit god forbid). I think if he comes back in 12 regular season games he can average more than 3 catches a game don't you? I would hope so, he would be the goto guy.

All the talk about the 3 WR's.  I have no issue with all 3 moving on to another school or the NFL.  However, does anyone seriously think any of them are NFL ready?  I like them all but say "No Way"!

Interesting to see what DPJ an Nico do. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t come back unless either one have a hidden 4.3, 40 nobody knows about...neither does.

This is an insanely deep WR class...one of the best in the last 20 years. It’s a relatively “safe” position as far as injuries so why not come back and make yourself a 1st round or 2nd round pick? Hell a lot of the draft boards have DPJ in round 4-6.

im all for these guys going if they can but it would seem very odd to me if either of these guys left based on current draft projections.

Nico won't get drafted in the first 3 rounds most likely unless at the combine he can run close to a 4.5 flat which I doubt. Nobody drafts possession recievers in the first couple rounds and that's what he'll be if he runs 4.6 or higher....DPJ I have my doubts he ever ran anywhere near sub 4.4, but I also think he's definitely faster than Collins. Another year in college really isn't going to change Nico's speed, he is what he is. But DPJ was injured half the year and had the dropping issues not just against OSU but also a little bit against PSU as well.

Seems to have been a bit disinterested. I wonder if the insider talk about players giving up on plays when they weren’t the primary option referred to him?
