I didn't have rooting interest here except that Taylor Swift is making some people's heads explode.
It is a weird deal. Two months ago my 11yo niece was watching a football game as intently as I watch Michigan-Ohio State, and the reason was, well, you know. I am waiting for her UFR for tonight's game.

When you can't rely on your defense to hold the other team's offense you absolutely have to get TDs when you can, and you cannot leave time on the clock. SF needed to approach their last 3rd down in regulation as if they would go for it on 4th down (a first down is essential in that spot). Even if Moody had converted the extra point and the FG would have put them up by 4, the chance of Mahomes bringing his team all the way back with more than 90 seconds left was too great. And they could not settle for a field goal in OT.
