Storm Duck PSU/UNC CB back in transfer portal
Didn't see this posted yet, but for those clamoring for a proven commodity to line up next to Will Johnson, this would do it.

Plus, all-name team. Do want.
All-time all-name team.
No particular knowledge about him, but how perfect would he fit at Oregon?
so perfect--like a perfect storm

He should have played at St. Johns, then Oregon. Next Richmond, and become Spider Storm Duck.
Storm warning!
Yes please!
I so wanted Storm Duck before he went to PSU. I want him even more now. He's a graduate, so no problem with admissions and was apparently told he had no chance of significant playing time with PSU's strong secondary after the spring. Michigan could be a sound opportunity for him.
Duck, Storm. Often good advice.
pass - have you seen that UNC secondary the past few years?
I mean he was second-team all-ACC and pretty highly rated in the transfer prospect rankings. Seems like an obvious take given how thin we are at CB
I mean… it’s pretty silly to evaluate an individual based on the performance of the entire unit. Good players get stuck on bad units all the time.
He was 2nd team All-ACC. 46 tackles, 3 picks, and 9 PD.
have you seen that UNC secondary the past few years?
Counter-point. Did you see the presumed CB2 get torched by a former walk-on with 1 career catch in the spring game? And you’re going to “pass” on an established starter that garnered all-conference honors in a P5 conference? Yikes.
Good players get stuck on bad units all the time.
A scenario that could contribute to a desire to transfer.
Definitely kick the tires. I’m not sure he’s better than McBurrows, Walker, Hill & Co., but adding to the competition is a good thing. He didn’t want to compete for PT at PSU so I don’t know if he’d want to compete here.
As long as he never utters the word "AFLAC"!
A fowl joke.
I quack myself up.
I suffer from the same mallardy.

I had two witty retorts that were already taken...duck, duck, goose egg, one could say...
I love how a transfer leaves the team and the homey writer can only say that this underlines how good the PSU CB room is. It could also mean that Franklin and/or the Defensive coaching staff are a bunch of feckless jerks that he doesn't want to play for. Another reason could be that the NIL bag he was promised wasn't as good as he thought.
Either way, not really interested in UM getting a guy that can't stay in one place.

??? The meat of our upcoming basketball team will probably be in this category.
May be why some of us aren't holding out much hope for the basketball team
Then you all would be foolish, conservatively...or complete idiots, if we want to be assholes about it.
14 of the Sweet 16 teams had a transfer. Of those 14 teams, they averaged over 5(!) transfers per team.
UCLA and Princeton were the two without a transfer, but Kansas St. literally had a 9-man rotation full of transfers (100%). Miami had a number of transfers. Alabama and Texas (remember Marcus Carr) were transfer heavy.
UConn had 4 transfers in their rotation.
If you're not holding out hope for basketball because of transfers...that's a *you* problem, because it's flat wrong to think transfers can't get you deep into the NCAA Tournament or win you a national championship.
You all who are so against adding transfers, really need to let that shit go. Embrace it, the way of the past is gone. I don't like it, but it's over, time to move on.
^^^ This guy gets it.
Maybe Mr. Duck wasn't down with James Franklin, maybe the PSU coaches urged him to leave because he's a conspiracy quack, maybe something was afoul between him and some other player.
Who knows? But he's (1) flying off somewhere else, and (2) saying "PSU will have a solid secondary in 2023 regardless" isn't a particularly controversial opinion that's worth a long gander.
Whether it was Mr. Duck or PSU, I'm betting someone laid an egg.
Are you daffy?
I think he's gone quackers.
Ha ha ha Mr. Nittany! At least you have the humor and perspective to take this decision in stride. Good for you. The rest of us fanatics can possibly take a lesson here!
James Franklin is exactly the kind of person who would build an entire Potemkin village to sell a recruit and then when the kid gets there, it's all papier mache.

I love the article about them getting the Minnesota transfer to go with the best returning duo in the The Big Ten with their 2 RBs. Get the FOH with that. They are good but not compared to Blake and D. Edwards
Thunder Goose!!!
He especially excels in the wind and rain.
Cumulonimbus Anatidae!
(yes I’m a nerd)
Sounds like something to see a doctor for...maybe penicillin can help.
Seems like Oregon is his likely destination. You can't escape your destiny.
Don't discount the attraction of landing in the diverse waters of the Great Lakes State
Good point. And then again, the midwest has very active Storms, especially now, so he's a good fit for us as well.
Automatic take.
"Storm Duck" is one of the best names I've ever heard.
Sounds like an odd Duck
Yohan Traore to UC Santa Barbara 👀
Former 5* Bball recruit *
I just learned this one the other day: UCSB = "University of Casual Sex and Beer."
Among all the alternate acronyms for Universities, that one's my new favorite, it has surpassed "University of Spoiled Children."
Huh? Interesting choice.
Why would you post this same random, non-sequitur message with no context or additional info in two separate threads?

It's worse than you thought: he's posted it in 3 separate threads. It's also not the first time he's pulled a 3-peat.
Which one is Storm?
