Ryan Day as you say, "inherited an incredible situation" and was very fortunate that Georgia picked the wrong QB which opened the door for Justin Fields. I do not think Day is as successful with Tate Martell. The B1G East is a difficult Division and I just cannot see Day continuing Alabama like seasons year after year. That doesn't mean that the program is going to drop off the map but aghast, there may be seasons with 3 losses.

I believe the every-day grind took its toll on Jim Harbaugh-and his elite level coaching relapsed. This may indeed happen to Day-wishful thinking at this time. Jim may have gotten his second wind here. We will see.

Semaj Morgan

Think these were supposed to be premium info until released to the public - except Conerly.
Conerly (and please please please please please please Domani Jackson) would raise the profile of this class which is one of the big things Walter Nolan is said to be looking at.
Josephs and Grant are probably our #1 targets for Edge and NT respectively for 2022, and the two 2023 MI kids represent a needed body at kicker (at least per the MGoScholly chart) and a slot receiver already being compared to KJ Hamler………NICE!

Is Deone Walker a nose?
Or would he play an off tackle if Kenneth Grant were to also be here?
September 16th, 2021 at 12:39 AM ^
I think He is more a Tackle than a nose.
FWIW — M just picked up another CB for the DT from SoCal that visited over the weekend. 6’3” 280 - previously ticketed for Boise State but appears poised to jump up the rankings per Sam and Steve L.

release the ballzzzz

Kenneth grant got a crystal ball to the good guys too, and chatter is that UM is in a good spot to flip S Amarion Walker from Notre Dame. Both were in attendance Saturday night.
September 15th, 2021 at 4:49 PM ^
Well that would just be the bee’s knees
September 15th, 2021 at 6:02 PM ^
Notre Dame's defense has been less than impressive under new DC Marcus Freeman. (And Freeman walked into a good situation with lots of talent.)
Maybe Freeman was fortunate to be a DC under Luke Fickell. People can talk smack about Fickell's 1 year as OSU interim HC but Fickell can coach defense very well.
September 15th, 2021 at 7:12 PM ^
Agreed. NDs defense has been underwhelming this year, so far, to say the least. I hope Purdue piles on 40+ this weekend!
September 15th, 2021 at 7:48 PM ^
Could this allow us to flip Josh Burnham?
September 15th, 2021 at 8:45 PM ^
Hope it starts a trend. Would be nice to make Joshua Burnham waver about his Notre Dame commitment too.
September 15th, 2021 at 10:15 PM ^
Walker’s primary recruiter is gone from ND, which is why he may be flipping, in part

Lots of ballz from Steve today.

Just gotta wait for WingDing to weigh in and I'll get really excited.
September 15th, 2021 at 7:55 PM ^
I’m surprised I haven’t seen a @SteveWingDing account on Twitter

He got to see first hand the difference between the two teams and their coaching staffs....day and night. The Oline put on a clinic...well done Coach Moore. He was already known as a strong recruiter..if his coaching is up there too..watch out.

Future OC And/or CoOC with Mr. Hart

Yes please. Hail !

Holy Huskies! A 5 star OT from Seattle comes to Ann Arbor to witness the Michigan OL destroy the Washington run defense in person. What could Scott Huff (his principal recruiter from Washington) possibly say to keep him home now? That has to be embarrassing.
September 15th, 2021 at 6:58 PM ^
Sort of like an Ohio Mr. Football running back in 1994 who came to Columbus to watch the game on the Michigan sidelines.
September 15th, 2021 at 6:26 PM ^
He must've saw Michigan kick Washington's ass and had a change of heart ?〽️
September 15th, 2021 at 8:08 PM ^
Well, he certainly got an eyeful of the two programs last Saturday night.
September 15th, 2021 at 8:09 PM ^
Washington fans are not very happy with Coach Duff (OL) from what I've read...from the Montana debacle (whose 260 lb DL owned their OL) to their performance vs Michigan, I can understand why...
September 15th, 2021 at 8:28 PM ^
Saw this one coming...
Like I was saying on Saturday to the this is hurting recruiting people...that atmosphere + mauling teams?
That was a HUGE game for Conerly, Nabou, and Grant and now we lead for all 3.
I also think we've pulled 50.1% ahead of USC for Domani Jackson.
September 15th, 2021 at 11:53 PM ^
Well. Looks like I’m going to a high school football game at Ballard in a couple weeks.
