If I remember correctly, he was one of the few second-round picks to get a guaranteed NBA contract.  That doesn't mean they can't assign him to the D-League, of course, but at least he's getting paid an NBA salary.  That said, going to the D-League might be good for him so that he can get more playing time and develop, because the Timberwolves have a lot of small forwards.

That Stauskas' first NBA game involves him matching up with Klay Thompson, who many people consider to be his closest comparison.  Thompson has outplayed him tonight (makes sense, he's arguably the best two-way shooting guard in the league), but it's a good learning experience

Rudy Gay and Cousins. Nik was the 4th option all night on the floor. I used to be a kings fan but they have no team, just a backup all star and a ball hog. Feel bad for Nik, its why you normally fit better getting drafted later on. The nba keeps screwing the kings though, they shouldve had a 1st pick by now being in the bottom so many years.

Sacramento has absolutely no offensive flow. This team could be very bad. They need a PG but they passed on Peyton to take Stauskas and let Thomas walk so we will see if they have a plan.

What does Ben McLemore bring to the Kings?  Defense maybe?  He had 0 points (on 05- shooting), 3 fouls and 2 turnovers.  I haven't watched the Kings before this year, so I don't know if this was a horrendous game for him or if it was typical. If typical, look for Nik in the starting lineup sooner rather than later.
