Sponsor Note: Orange Bowl Tickets Prices Have Come Down

Submitted by Seth on December 22nd, 2021 at 12:00 PM

Greg Cohen here from TicketIQ. As Seth said last week, we are proud to be MGoBlog’s “longest and best ticket partner.” We are reaching out to let you guys know that prices for the Orange Bowl have dropped 61% since they peaked two weeks ago.

You can do your own comparison of their prices for the same ticket on Stubhub. It’s *significant*. Prices for the same seats on TicketIQ are 10-20% cheaper than StubHub.

Additional Buying Tips

  • Ticket prices are at their lowest in the last two weeks, so now is most likely the best time to buy. As inventory drops over the next few days, prices could tick back up, so if you find something you like that is in your price range we suggest you act fast.
  • For fans looking for the cheapest tickets, these can be found in the 300 level In the end zones and corner. Speaking of the 300's, check out TicketIQ's "Ticket Hack" showing some sections where you can find affordable tickets with a great view of the field, all video boards, and the Michigan going through the tunnel.
  • Besides those 300-level seats, considering the prices, and views of the field, some of the best overall deals can be found in the 100 level in the corners, especially on the Michigan side of the field. Great deals can also be found in 200 level corner sections on the Michigan side of the field.
  • For fans looking for the best overall seats, those will be found in the Club sections on the 200’s level. Ticket prices in these sections start at $957 on the Michigan side, which are down nearly 40% in the last two weeks. Then there’s the 72 Club, right at the 50 yard line on the Michigan side, where prices start at $1,660 per ticket.

Thank you Seth and everyone else at MGoBlog for everything you do. To paraphrase Seth again: if you’re going to be looking on an online site, try the one that loves MGoBlog and isn’t trying fleece you. TicketIQ’s whole thing is we’re on your side.

If I truly had the capacity to go, I'd go...but I definitely am not going to stretch myself and then something crazy happen.

That said, just win. Beat Georgia. Michigan fans will make SURE the next one is a home game. When I say it was 70/30 for the B1G Championship Game, I might be underselling it.

I thought when we bought our tickets last week at $475 a piece that we were going to get the best price we could, short of just showing up to the stadium an hour before kickoff and finding a scalper desperate to unload tickets.

Oh well. Beats having bought at $600-$700 each if we’d bought a week earlier.

Went to get tested about 15 minutes from the stadium at 9:00 AM and had to wait an hour and a half. Covid is rampant in South Florida right now. About 4 months ago I went to get tested in the same spot and waited less than 5 minutes.

Thanks for posting this. I just went ahead and bought my ticket, and I can confirm -- the exact same seat was available on TicketIQ for 10%+ less than StubHub after factoring in the fees.

It looked like StubHub has more inventory -- I'm guessing that they get more traffic from fans selling tickets, just from their name recognition (as opposed to brokers, who tend to list with all of the sites). But since StubHub users tend to price their tickets at about the same price relative to each other, the extra inventory they offer doesn't seem to suppress prices much.

FWIW, it took about three minutes for my ticket to be transferred, and it's loaded safely in my Apple Wallet as we speak.

PS: Yellow lot parking -- the only lot that's available with mobile tickets as opposed to a hangtag -- is still available from TicketMaster directly, for $54 all-in. It was $79 on TicketIQ.

Tickets are cheaper but if I get one or a pair for around $500, I would need to book a flight from Kansas City to Miami and then find a hotel along with a rental car. You're looking at a 2K trip for two.

I think there are a lot of things converging at once and covid is amplifying it. I had a couple friends buy tickets right away but then they and their families decided that the travel right after the holidays was going to be too expensive and a pain in the butt and with the NC game in Indy they decided to sell their tickets in case UM makes it to the NC game. Easier travel as they both live in OH and IN.

I secured tickets ASAP but also decided the same. I live in columbus and I'd rather watch this game at home and if they win go to the NC game.

Then you have covid going on and it's a lot easier for many of us to adjust plans if there is no flight involved (if they make it to Indy).

There should be a lot of Michigan snow bird fans who could attend, but COVID will scare them off, since most snow birds are over 65. Since GA is only a car drive of 3 to 5 hours, I'm sure there will be a lot more dawg fans there. If I lived closer I would go if I could get off work.

$215 right now on Stubhub for good 300 level seats.

If you are crazy enough to book a last minute trip to Miami - wait it out a few more days and I'm sure you'll be able to get 200 level tickets for dirt cheap.
