SPONSOR NOTE: New Tailgating Takeout Place in Ann Arbor--Try the Wings!
Townies, what are you serving for the Michigan State game when your COVID circle descends? I want you to try my friends Sara's and Jordan's new takeout business, Side Biscuit, which is a new chicken wing and scratch biscuit carryout spot opening soon at 1232 Packard, on the same block as Argus Farm Shop. This is a pre-sale a few weeks before they open to the public because they figure MGoBlog fans will spread the gospel and they're one of us.
Some of you probably already know Chef Jordan Balduf, who came out of the kitchen to hang at one of our events when he was at HOMES Brewery. He was at Braun Court before that, and from Buffalo before that, and if you get him wound up on Buffalo wings you'll learn some things. He's kind of a wings obsessive the way we're Michigan obsessives. Except my blogs will never be considered delicious while his wings were declared the second-best in the state by MLive a few years back. His partner is Sara Demorest, whom podcast listeners will know as Cooper and Colby's mom
They're officially opening the doors in mid-November for the Wisconsin game, but wanted to give MGoBlog the first taste.
Some details:
- 50 Wings & 10 Biscuits are $88 should be enough for 10, and a Half Order is $48 and feeds 5. I don't know what your circle situation is but I hope you can fit it into one of those two options.
- What you get is the OG Buffalo and/or Open Pit BBQ (50:50 or all 1) wings, plus celery, carrots, blue cheese, biscuits, condiments, plates, napkins, and wet wipes
- Pickup is from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, October 31st at 1232 Packard, Ann Arbor
I might have a hard time getting up there for it so if you try them let me know how it goes.

50 wings should be enough for 10? Who eats just 5 wings?

I refuse to click on the link before I make this reply, so I'm just going to assume they're using full size wings.
Off to click the link and see if my dream has finally come true.

Yeah, they are about twice the size of the wings you’ll find at BDubs type places. 4-6 and a biscuit is a good meal. Cheers!

I don't care how big they are. I'm going to be eating at least 10 by myself. Probably more.

So disappointed that I read this on an empty stomach.
I suppose they don't deliver to Madison, WI?!

Seconded. They need to hook up with Goldbelly so I can get them up here in the cities.

Are wings for 5 $44 (as in the graphic) or $48 (as in Seth's coverage.) Fix one or the other.
October 23rd, 2020 at 6:19 PM ^
$44, but they have a recommended $4.40 tip = $48.40.

What if it’s just me and the wife, we’re old, she has comorbidities, and we would like 10 wings and a couple ‘o’ biscuits? It’s a 2020 micro tailgate. We’ve eaten many fine things at HOMES and even tipped a few at Five Shores.
edit: I’ve even entertained Cooper and Colby at the Cirque event.

Did you force them to say Go Blue on a podcast ad?
I kid, I kid...

Dammit, you made me look. Now I'm hungry.

You have a typo "50 wings should be enough to serve 5 people". WIll have to try it next time I'm in AA.

Looking forward to when they are doing a regular menu and not just tailgates. We hit Argus every Saturday so this is a dream come true.

I am both glad I graduated from UofM before COVID and then things like this make me regret not still living there

What!?! No FedEx overnight delivery to Virginia? Serving only the elites in Ann Arbor? What kinda discriminatory place is this? Us commoners DEMAND equal treatment!!!!
Ahh, hell. Guess I'll just have to make my own. Which is just as well, since I've been too lazy this morning to get that chuck roast on the smoker...
If I were in Ann Arbor, though, I'd partake in the preorder fun!!!

Pics, we've got to see these wings.
