All over twitter that the Big Ten will announce the cancelation and or postponement of Fall Football season. We are doomed.

I think this is the beginning to the end of college football. If it is to dangerous playing under a virus threat, why the hell play at all. Head collisions are a hell of lot more dangerous and college football should be banned!  Just start watching and enjoying college soccer. Football is just too damn dangerous to humans.

OSU fans will be really crying in their beer! This was the year they were suppose to win it all with Fields in his last year and a team many predicted to go to the championship game this season. Boy this is going to put their rabid fans in a stupor.

Why? Because we cannot have nice things. Have you seen all the college student athletes on twitter Yesterday posting under the hashtag # we want to play. I suppose it will be safer for the players to go to class and party on the weekends, then getting tested daily and being more quarantined as student athletes? Overall, a dumb move to cancel the season without shutting down all these university and keeping the student athletes locked up at home.

I know that "doomed" is probably just hyperbole in response to facing more bad news: that one of our top forms of entertainment won't be happening this fall. And I sure don't like it either.

Then I remember a friend from college who died of COVID-19 in late May. He was 57. Went to the hospital, transferred to ICU, and never came out.

He was doomed. We don't get to watch college football until spring.

Perspective.

Interesting tweet from Jay Richardson (ex-OSU Player)

From a parent of the program: "A coach told me "don't buy the narrative. Many kids already had it. This is about a balance of power and money. Many of these schools want a reset".
